When does the complaining typically subside? It's been a year so I forgot how long the children whine for. Wednesday may be a good time for constructive topics?

Better start calling the 49ers.  They gave us a sixth for Gabbert.  That means Henne's worth at least a 5th + a ham sandwich.

lol! this is the best excuse I've herd for Henne. When the D set him up all the first half but ok its on them. How dare they not hold a high powered offense to zero points.

I'm afraid the only hour without complaining from this board is when Daylight savings time begins and we skip the 2AM-3AM hour...

"Fans" who constantly yammer, put up polls and beat a dead horse to submission by bashing one player for a loss are just bandwagon casual fans. Its clear most havent played the game,much less know the intricacies of it. I dont. But I do know in a team game, no ONE player wins or loses it. Sure they help...and as pissedoff as I was yesterday..there were quite a few reasons the team lost.

The knee jerk, instant gratification crowd will never be happy...hell...it goes back to Beurlein-Brunell, Garrard-Leftwich, Gabbert-Henne...remember..Sunshine will brighten our day? and now we have the same. One game, against a playoff team with one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL and we get the lynching brigade out...to hang one guy....afterall...Bortles would have won it...no way they score all those points with Blake in there... :ermm:

For me it's not so much "Bortles would have won it" as it is "I'd rather watch Bortles play because he is our future and it's not like we're going to the playoffs this year".

Actually fans who do the things you describe are the message board sect of fans. A small few. The internet and message boards were made for whining, complaining, polls, and BS.

And it isn't about Henne being so bad we lost. Many of us know it was a team loss. Blocked FG, missed FG, dropped passes, Poz goes out--they score, Cyp goes out--they score....

it's more about....

I'd rather watch us lose 34-17 with the future at the helm.

Why play Henne? Because Bortles isn't ready? (HOW is he not ready but Carr in Oakland is? Henne isn't a better option)

OK so what's the other excuse? We don't want Bortles to get killed behind our terrible oline? Henne was sacked 3 times (only 2 were "on the oline" and one of those was a game ender didn't matter too much at that point play) You mean to tell me Bortles would get sacked 3 times and cower and become Gabbert? I'm willing to bet Bortles could have even avoided some of the pressure.

So... what's the next excuse? Bortles doesn't know the playbook as much? Just run that bootleg that worked over and over in preseason. Did we run it once yesterday? lol

How bout the rookie (young) WRs being the excuse? Surely Bortles wouldn't have made them catch better. Nope he sure wouldn't and that is a lump we can deal with as fans I think.

Bortles won't make the run blocking any better, but if he pushes the ball downfield better than Henne teams won't be able to play the line as tight.

 

All many of us are asking for, and have been since preseason game 2, WHY NOT Bortles?

Lick all of the toliets in the stadium after the game, let DT Suh hit me in the stomach repeatedly while calling me a Jagwad fan!
