When Cecil returns it should be Shorts and Hurns with Lee in the slot. He totally deserves it after showing today he can play against a starting defense and consistently make plays.

Pretty sure it will be.

Hurns needs to be on the field getting 8+ targets a game.

Let's not go too crazy yet. He remembered that he's a rookie when the second half rolled around. He's got a lot of potential and looked great in the first half, but for every up a rookie has, there will be downs.

 

He is basically a starter already though, in 3WR sets.

With Shorts at worst he's the 2nd best WR. He needs to start.

I agree he most definitely needs to start.

 

It really baffled me reading some comments from people after some of the pre-season games that he did very well on. People here were still saying he won't be starter quality. Lol. Yes I know the difference between pre-season and regular, but I know talent when I see it.

Hurns did well.  Untill someone else does better, I agree.  He should be starting...  He should be getting at least 1 or 2 deep passes his way each half.  

Both Hurns and Lee looked good for rookies

 

LEe just had the one big drop but still, solid outing

he almost hauled in another big pass but it went off his finger tips.

Cecil Shorts is damaged trash. Does nothing for the team but collects checks. Has Shorts ever had two td's in a game? If that was Shorts going across the middle on the pass Hurns got wrecked and dropped the ball he'd have a concussion right now.

You absolutely could NOT make that argument. He is literally the entire reason we had a 4th quarter lead to blow, his first 2 catches put up 14 out of our 17 points. I'd love for him to make that catch, in fact that's a catch he has to make at this level, but the kid lit it up out there no need to hold back praise.

He got creamed by THREE defenders coming at him full speed. I don't blame the kid for losing control of the ball, what can you actually do against that? He tried his best to hang on to it.

Sounds similar to another situation the team has.

 

Hurns was the best WR on the field today for the Jaguars and has earned the opportunity to start regardless of when CSIII returns and I have no doubt he will.

Yeah, those 1,700+ yards and 10 tds the past 2 years is complete garbage. You really put some deep thought into this.
