They will play Bortles, that's the thing. It may not be as soon as some want, but he's gonna be playing before the season ends.
Yes he looked awesome in the pre-season. But the pre-season isn't the regular season. I think the coaches are taking an approach where they want him to see live rounds on the bench for a while, see how different the game is played and learn.
Yes yes, he can learn right off the bat by starting in week 1, I understand that. But I'm sure there is method to their madness. And I'm fine with it. If they started him, I'd be fine with that as well.
Let's just see how the O-line performs. Let's see how our running game looks with TG and DR. Let's see how our rookie WRs perform. There are alot of pieces on the offense that are un-tested. Having a verteran QB, no matter how horrible we think he may be, under center can be a calming force while other things need time to gell.
