I'm all for a DMZ. Something needs to happen. It will never happen though for the reasons FBT stated.

Quote:Not only is he weak, but I think he's weak intentionally. His loyalty is not with the USA its with ....others....

You figure it out.

Thank you! Just when I think you can't post something more stupid, you top yourself.

A source of constant amusement.

He's right, the basic tenet of Obamaism is that America is wrongfully on top of the world and needs to be taken down a peg. There's no other explanation for how awful this administration has been except pure unadulterated incompetence and no one is that incompetent.
As is typical of lame duck presidents, influence and power wanes. But even the most strident of Obama supporters can't deny the image that he seems to be mailing it in. Undeniably, he's in a tough spot. Reports are that his marriage is tense. Coupled with the stress of the job, his life can't be easy right now. I'm always willing to give a person the benefit of the doubt, but I get the distinct impression ol' Choom would rather clear a bowl and catch a tasty wave than do his job at this point.

What? What "basic tenet" are you talking about? Show me somewhere that has been stated? Other than just in your imagination.

Disagree with the guy's policies, fine, no problem. Thinking that TMD's tripe has any basis of fact says more about you than it does about Obama.

I agree. Obama shows all the signs of burnout.

I would add, in my opinion, this seems to afflict every 2 term president. Even Washington was burned out when he left the office. He was sick of being President.

I think Obama has been phoning it in for awhile. Dude looks strung out, rode hard and put away wet. I think at this point he just wants to go home. I actually voted for him the first time around. I couldn't have Sarah Palin in office so the election for me was the lesser of two evils back then. I didn't realize at the time that Obama had not been a Senator for a full term yet when he decided to run for Pres. I think he was so not ready for what Washington had to 'offer'.

In some ways I feel for the guy on a human level. But most often I just don't because I honestly don't believe he has this nation's best interest in mind. Like- ever. I think he used getting out of Iraq as a platform just to get reelected but didn't really care about what that actually meant in terms of what would/could happen after a quick withdrawal. Now we see some of the signs of that with ISIS. But that's also a whole other topic.

Palin had the presidential nomination?

This is spot on. It's not so much that Obama is anti-American. He's more anti-colonialist, and he comes by that honestly based on his family history on his father's side.

When he looks at America, he sees a country that has unfairly assumed the role of the global leader, and he set about bringing this country down a notch as part of his presidency. Everything he's done regarding foreign policy has been intended to minimize the impact the US has on a global scale. Whether it's the lead from behind attitude, or not supporting our allies adequately, everything he's done as president is by design. It's not about incompetence or laziness. It's about a philosophy.

The lack of ANY sort of response in the Tahmoressi situation shows just how unwilling this administration is to lead on any issue, even when it comes to the liberty of American citizens. You're seeing the same thing in the response to ISIS beheading Americans and issuing threats that they're coming to the US. We keep sending out these limp-wristed tersely written (by someone else) statements from 0bama that wouldn't scare a 3 year old child.

Well, at least she would have been easier to look at if she went skinny dipping in the VP pool like ol' Joe does regularly.

Maybe I'm missing something here. A guy drives across the border into Mexico with some guns, and gets arrested. Why would the US State Department get involved in that situation?

Adam, if you have the time in the next few days, I highly recommend that you watch the video commentary by Pamela Geller on the ISIS recent beheading of U.S. reporter Steven Sotloff. While I don't think you will agree with Geller's points of view, it will provide a better picture of why many of us are beyond suspicious of Obama. The reason I'm not posting the link to the video is it more likely than not will violate the COC.

Because it's Mexico and an American national. It should've been resolved the same day and hasn't for no one knows why at exactly the same time that the Amatuer-in-Chief unbarred that same door to millions going the other way. The symbolism is unmistakable unless you're deep in Obama's tank and refuse to see what is going on.

You're saying any American who commits a crime in Mexico and gets thrown in jail should be sprung by the State Department? On the same day? Regardless of the fact that he committed a crime?

I'm saying that this particular case is not a simple "Crime" and we should've resolved it one way or another by now.

I admittedly no very little about this case at all. I would like to know if an actual crime was committed. Anyone have any actual reporting done on this other than clear partisan rhetoric?
Conservative America is an embarrassment. You people really just have to have something to get riled up about. Maybe instead of inventing things to get angry about, you all need to take a look inward at why you need so much hate and vitriol in your life. It's disgusting. The republican base in America is the Brick Tamland of political dialogue.

^^theres the truth but let's continue to make LOUD NOISES because that's easier than critical thinking

He drove across the border with loaded guns in his truck. That's the crime he has been charged with.
