Denard "The Floater" Robinson

Quote:I'd be suprised to see this.  Storm has been a huge disappointment IMO.
Storm Johnson is a seventh-round pick coming off his first training camp. He made the team; that's a huge accomplishment in itself.

Yeah, I'm not sure how a 7th round draft pick who actually makes the roster can be deemed a huge disappointment.

That's a mental image I could have lived without.
Quote:I'm still in favor of signing Lache Seastrunk and cutting Todman.
Adding guys to your 53 man roster who couldn't even make 32 team's practice squad is pretty dumb.

So much for DRob being on the roster bubble.
He was never on the bubble, and he out played Todman in the preseason by a lot, well deserved

Some here were stomping up and down to the contrary.

Yes plz

He will break the 1st round RB drought, dude is Adrian Peterson 2.0, well be well deserved if he even went in the top 10

Not according to some message board GMs who had already written him off as a bust.

Lol those same GM's had Lee as a bust too after 3 preseason games

No WR can bust with Sullivan here.

Unless they're wearing a number that starts with a one.

Sometimes even Sullivan can lose one.  He wasn't able to keep Blackmon focused enough on his job to stay off the bottle and herb.  That's a part of coaching as well, isn't it?  Keeping players focused?

That too!

To be fair, Blackmon was an ace when he was on the field. He just had a deeper love in his heart. Mary Jane Daniels was her name I believe.

Sullivan couldn't keep him focused on the prize.  I'm not blaming him for Blackmon's failures as a human being, but he wasn't motivated enough to focus on football.
I was hoping that D-Rob would win the supporting cast at the RB position. Given his elusiveness along w/his continued health w/respect to hanging on to the ball, D-Rob is a better fit as the back up to Gerhart...

NH3...

He's still got work to do, but he's come a long way from last season.
Quote:Todman averaged 27 yards on kick returns last year, put up 154 all purpose yards on 25 carries and 4 catches in his only NFL start and he knows the system. That's why he has value to the team.

He's upgradable for sure - but I don't know if a green rookie waiver claim is the way to do it.

Pshhhh, logic and what not...
Denard definitely deserves it. He actually played really well on special teams during the preseason, and as a RB, I like him as the change-of-pace to Toby. Just wish our offensive line had more talent. Atleast we know where the focus will go next offseason.

I'm pretty sure Garo Yepremian was a place kicker...
