Now we can finally start thinking about the next 16 games, starting with the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field, instead of jobs on the line. Are you all ready for some football?

No, with the draft being moved to May it just seems too early. They should move the start of the season to October.

The May Draft has thrown my football calendar off.   It felt like the shortest off-season ever.

It was only two weeks later.

 

When we win the Super Bowl it really will be the shortest offseason ever - and you are not going to complain about that! But for now I am just thinking, "When will the Bortles era start?"

At least for xJAGGYx and myself,   the two weeks had a major impact on how quickly the regular season came.

 

We?  Being interested in and wishing the team and their fan base well is noticeably different than having a rooting passion in a team.

The Eagles biggest weakness is with their Defense, especially against the pass.  During preseason they finished first overall in Offense and 31st overall in Defense.  If Blake Bortles can some how come in the game and throw it deep to Lee a few times to make up for the few touchdowns the Eagles are most likely to score against us then its a win.  Otherwise, (even though I am a homer) I have to assume this road game is a loss.  I just dont have confidence in Chad Henne to throw good enough (even against the worst pass D) to win this game.
