Nothing hyperbolic about what these people tried to push through. It's rather telling that so few found the need to express outrage at what was a truly shady tactic until Trump spoke up. It doesn't matter if it's the left or the right, if something wholly unethical is being done, you should not hesitate to call it what it is. Instead I got mental gymnastics until Trump entered the fray. It's as if some of you are incapable of being objective and informed.

No, its a kangaroo court used to punish political opponents. I oppose it for the same reasons I oppose Title I courts on college campuses, the protections afforded the accused by our Constitution (presumption of innocence, trial by jury of peers, right to face the accuser, in some cases the right to representation) are bypassed and we get an Inquisition instead of an investigation. Not that we don't need ethical oversight, I'm all for that, but this particular structure is solidly un-American.
