Quote:Fowler played more snaps than beasley
and just because a defense has a lot of talent doesnt actually equate to them letting Shane run free or something lol. No one is just letting 3-4 olbs go unchecked regularly in the nfl.
Where are you getting the amount of snaps per season from??
If you really think teams are paying more attention to Ray than Von Miller, Ware, Jackson, or Wolfe in Ray's rookie year, then I honestly don't know what to tell you.
Yeah, they aren't trying to let guys run free, but if you think he was anything higher than the 5th guy (at the absolute highest) on that front that teams worried about, you'd be severely mistaken.

I didnt say he was getting more attention than anyone, I just stated that he wouldnt be getting no attention.
If were talking about a regular 4 man rush, hes the 4th guy theyre worried about. Again hes an outside linebacker, covering that is important to everyone. Any more rushers than that is kinda hard to predict whos picking up who, thats just a situational thing. I wouldnt attempt to speculate that about anyone, Fowler/Vic/Ray etc.

Fowler had 570, Beasley had 538 I think.

An aggressive 3-4 Defense that Wade Phillips runs is far and away from the typical 4 man front this team has ran. Ray didn't see a bunch of snaps because he has two all-pros in front of him in Miller and Ware. When he did get on the field, he was still opposite of either of them, as well as the other people on that front seven. He was not the one Offenses were focusing on whenever he was on the field. That's a fact.
You still didn't tell me where you're getting these snaps per year numbers. I'm not saying you're wrong on the snaps, but I want to see the source.

Same as above, not saying you're wrong, but where is the source for these numbers? I'm curious and want to see them.

Ok, then show me the links from the source bro.

Google Jaguars 2016 snap counts.
Quote:man just google it lol

So Fowler had 33 more snaps than Beasley's rookie year, while Beasley was basically in a position that Ngakoue was in. A pure pass rusher because they're weak against the run.
Fowler was still more productive all around than either Beasley or Ray in their first seasons.

Fowler played the run better than Beasley but Beasley had more impact as a pass rusher and better in general.

Because it didn't take them long to understand Beasley had absolutely no business being anywhere close to playing the run.
That's why they moved him off the ball to OLB and why they only let him play rush DE in obvious pass rushing situations.
The Falcons finished 8-8 in Beasley's rookie year? I'd bet he had at least twice as many true pass rushing opportunities than both Nagkoue and Fowler had this year.

Yep. Fowler better vs run , Beasley better as a pass rusher.

True, but Fowler is all around and Beasley is pure pass rush.
Hopefully this team averages 33 points per game on Offense like the Falcons do, so our pass rushers can tee off on Defenses also...
Snaps don't tell you anything.
If a player gets more snaps because he can play in run situations, it won't reflect on his sack numbers.
Quote:You know it's ok to be positive about the team every now and then, you should try it I promise you wont spontaneously combust.
Shhh... we WANT him to spontaneously combust.
Quote:Because he didn't start... You're the one who brought up "starting" in the first place..
Did Beasley not play more snaps than Fowler? Lets ignore that.
Did Ray not have a crew of all-pros around him, so nobody had to focus on him? Lets ignore that also.
I could go on and on about how stupidly one sided you're trying to be in this argument.
Falcon fan here .. Beasley played 537 snaps his rookie year
Some fans felt Vic had a bad year but I thought he showed Khalil mack type 4 sack season ...He got pressure and seeing him beat tackles like Jason peters and tyron smith around the edge showed that potential ... This year he had 15.5 sacks and I still think he is still developing ... Took that next big time step this year
Thought he definitely came on late in the year. Pretty good for being off a year, having a major surgery and being a rookie. Hopefully he and also Yannick keep taking steps foward because DFJ is 22 and Yannick is only 21 so they have alot of time to develop. Von is 27 and Mack is 25

Look, DFJ was the 3rd overall pick as just an average athlete according to his combine numbers. He should've eclipsed at least Bruce Smith by now if not LT. He's learning to play end, so we'll give him another 3 games to get himself better than Reggie White or else KYJaggy is totally right that he's a complete bust.

Unacceptable!
If these kids arent 1st team All Pros midway through their first training camp they're scrubs who should be immediately cut, eviscerated and creamted. Their ashes can be sprinkled on any NFL field in the US but it must be done at least 12 hours after cremation.
