If the Jaguars don't replace Lewis in free agency, they'll have to find a TE in the draft. Who are the best prospects for 2015. This early on, I only know Devin Funchess but I think Jake McGee from UF has a chance to sneak into the 1st round
I'm not sure a TE would be worth it in the first round next year.   At this point... it's hard to tell.  We'll see what this year brings.

Funchess is actually playing WR this season if he does well...it'll be interesting to see what position he gets drafted to play
Jesse James.
I really doubt Jake McGee is a first round pick

I wonder how much of this is because of the Graham franchise tag decision.

That's actually a really good point. Gotta be going through a lot of players heads.

Jake McGee in the first round? No.

That may have something to do with it, because iirc the Graham tag talk started in January. And Funchess was officially moved to WR sometime in February

Smart move if that's why
Watching this Miami vs. Louisville game and Clive Walford looks pretty good. On their TD drive he ran some nice routes and got open in the redzone reception for a TD.

Lewis unless he gets hurt is going to be tough to replace. The Jags use him so much as a blocker. Kids now are not wanting to block but want to be the next Graham and who can blame them. I do agree though we need to address the TE position next year. Maybe a blocking TE and a Pass Catching TE. That's right 2 picks. Hard to get them both out of one person these days

Tyler Kroft from Rutger is an underclassman that is getting a lot of praise. Prototype size for the position.

An under the radar guy is Wes Saxton from South Alabama.

I think O'Leary is a solid player who will have a role in the NFL as a pass catcher.

Had more to do with Michigan not having any experience/options at WR this year and Funchess having the ability to play in tight or split out.
Yeah let's overdraft a te in the first then give him top 3 money when he has one good season on his rookie contract. Oh.
This guy could be an interesting pick if they wait till the 4th round or so.

(Clive Warford)

McGee from UF got injured today. Done for the year.
We will pick high in the 1st round again next year, and it will be a stud DE/LEO, mainly because it will fit our draft position.  We won't draft a TE or Center, the two big needs that high.

If not addressed in Free Agency, TE maybe in the 2nd or 3rd.  Center in the other round.

1. DE/LEO

2. TE/Center

3. TE/Center

Yeah I really liked his ability at 6-6 in Kurt Roper's heavy tight end use offense. Strongly believe he could and would have gone in the first. He led Virginia in yards from the TE spot

Didn't you tell us last year to watch out for Michael Sam in the second?
