i respect your opinion, but from what i can see, Toddman has no vision, takes too long to gather himself in his cuts, and just seems to be a goofy guy
Quote:I get it.  I'm not sure why they hate Prosinski.  He's not a designated starter on the defense.  He's a depth guy who excels on special teams.  That's why he makes this roster if he survives.  It's not because he's a wicked safety.

logic. I don't hate prosinski but why not fill that position with a rookie or 2nd year player who could still possibly develop into a good defense player who shines on special teams too?

My emphasis on we know Prosinski will never be a solid option at safety. Ascending players are simply worth more than flatline players at natural positions.

I agree with you he's nothing special, but at least he'll break one loose every now and then.  Law firm more of a couple yard consistently guy.  We can get that with Toby.

Well of the other DBs on the bubble, Martin and Fleming don't fit that description.

If they find that guy, i'm sure they would.

He is goofy looking running around sometimes.  I'd still rather him than BGE, and probably storm from what i've seen.

look at this guy...making a cut and slips. GET HIM OUT OF HERE

Well, apparently the coaches and front office saw things differently.

I always saw his running style as almost out of control at times.  Not quite goofy, but he's not a clean runner.

this is why you got cut, Mike. spending your time on this forum. you didnt learn anything from Nwaneri, did you?

Nick "Sunshine" Sorensen 2.0

Pretty much. This team has always had that one special teams guy who seemed to linger for a while.

Coughlin had Brant Boyer, Del Rio had Sunshine, and this regime has inherited and kept Prosinski around.

Not apparently, they in fact did

That was pretty much my point.  They saw the options, and he was the least appealing one of the bunch.

You still have to have players that are good at special teams.

If you already have young starters and back ups with a higher ceiling than that rookie or 2nd year player then there is really no point in keeping them.

If you are trying to find and develop a starter that would be one thing, but if you already have young guys penciled in to develop, chances are that other young player will never get the opportunity to develop on this roster in the first place. In that case, you are better off having a good special teams player instead.

Lol Todman over Green-Ellis plz take of the teal glasses, Todman is just a guy, if he was on any other team nobody would care about him, Green-Ellis would be a major upgrade, tho I dont think we will get him

Montell Owens, too.

Yes.  Pro Bowler!

3rd string RB, backup FB, but he made the Pro Bowl on special teams.

Quote:Montell Owens, too.
Owens was at least a serviceable back, and a special teams pro bowler.  Plus,  he was a really smart guy too.  He interned at Merrill Lynch while he was playing for the Jags.
