Quote:I am not going to say he is way off or anything but with Henne as our QB I don't expect to score much or put up many wins in the season. Hopefully we do finish better than this.

My thoughts as well.  If Chad plays all 16 games his predictions probably aren't horribly far off.

I would agree that if Chad played all 16 those would be close predictions since we have a track record of similar numbers in both cases last year (points scored + record)

That said....

Chad won't start all 16. I know it, you know it and Gus knows it.

Of course.... we have to wait those pivotal 2 games for the offensive line to gel, right?

2, 4,...maybe it takes 8.
Quote:I knew there was something Priscoeee, err I mean fishy, here.

He has the Jags losing 28-2 in the 1st game and 19-9 in the 2nd game of the season.

Does this ring a bell for anyone on here????

These just happen to be the EXACT losing scores of the Jags 1st 2 games last season.

And of course we all know what 4-12 represents from last year.
He also has us beating the exact same teams as last year except this year we sweep the titans and split with the texans.
Quote:Prisco is just butthurt that his "guy" isn't starting at QB.
Who, Ponder?
We aren't losing to the Giants. Especially not at home
read between the lines and you can tell that Pete loves the Jags. he has always loved us.

Quote:I could see us going 4-12.  I have no problem with that prediction.

212 points though I think is really undershooting it.  We scored more than that last year.

While 4-12 is certainly possible, it is definitely on the pessimistic side of things.  Especially considering that we have a weaker schedule than last year and our run defense will presumably be much improved.  I also think our offense will be vastly improved, but that will have to play itself out.
This is what Prisco is doing. He is saying 4-12 if Henne starts. When Bortles starts and the team wins games and goes 6-10 or 7-9, he can point back and say "I told you so".

2 points against the Eagles... lolz

Agreed.  I think Prisco was having some fun with the record for sure here.  While 4-12 is a possibility, it seems unlikely.
As much as I despise henne, I think he can give us more than 4 wins.

And what makes you think that?

He got us 4 wins last year.  Weaker schedule.  Better defense.  Hopefully an improved passing game with the added weapons.  It's not a stretch.

Easier schedule? I'd hardly say that. This schedule looks considerably more difficult than last year. While it's not a stretch to think Henne could win more than 4, it's even less than a stretch to think he won't in my opinion.

It doesn't really matter, the team would need the 2000 Ravens defense to even think about winning anything of substance with Henne at starter. Thankfully those days are numbered and Henne will be able to go back to the role he should be to start with, the backup.

Your anti-Henne bias aside, the team does have a projected easier strength of schedule this year.  You can look it up if you're interested.

I never really understood the easier schedule thing. All of that is based off last years performance, so it isn't really an easy thing to gauge.

Exactly.  The first half of the schedule last year was absolutely brutal.  The strength of schedule this year is easier.

Even if it does end up being easier, I still think the team wins a max of 6 games with Henne at QB for all 16. 4-12 isn't at all unlikely.
