Quote: Being as MOJO led the league in rushing in 2011, trading him in 2010 would have been brilliant !!!

Trading Poz would be just as brilliant .

yes because without MoJo how pray tell would we have been able to rack up those 5 wins win 2011 without him!!....which ultimately only did nothing but keep us good enough to not be able to draft Andrew Luck or make that trade with the Redskins.

Trading MoJo in 2010 when as it turned out he only had one good year left would have been the smart decision. It would have gave us another pick and put us closer to the chance of drafting Luck.
I'm not high on Poz like most people, but he is freakin superman compared to Stupar who is the Brewster of the defense. He isn't any good but somehow makes the team.

Meh, never been high on Luck. Overrated. Don't really care about that.
Why does everyone want to trade Shorts? He is probably our best and most experienced WR.

Because he's expendable and will soon be our most expensive WR and doesn't really provide you with production that you likely can't get otherwise from the WR already here, and cheaper.

This isn't Madden. You realize rookie WRs don't normally do that well their first year in the league?
Quote:You are smoking some good stuff if you think you're getting a 3rd for an MLB that will be 30 this year. Branch has done nothing to warrant a team giving up a 3rd round pick for him.

Not much different than the weed you are smoking if you wouldn't give ANY pick for Poz.

I got a feeling Hurns will....and the other rooks will grow into the spots.

Its not a playoff year this year anyway, thus now's the perfect time to deal Shorts.
Why trade these players that are solid and not overpaid. You can't have an all rookie team and be good at the same time. I'm all for trading down for draft picks.

Bortles better watch out... Mad Dog will be trading him away in a few years as well.

My only beef with dealing shorts is that I don't think he's going to be very expensive at all.  He's injury prone and honestly doesn't have much trade value IMO.

I think best case scenario for this team is that we extend him for another 3-4 years taking into account his injuries.  shorts extends because he realizes he can't stay healthy.

we have a decent young WR for a very reasonable deal for 3-4 years in addition to ARob and Lee and Hurns.

The guy I can see being dealt is Marcedes Lewis, especially if we have another TE step up and play well (which unfortunately hasn't happened yet).

the "Good Lord, who the hell wants to trade MoJo" crowd from 2010.

Gene Smith would have just blown the pick anyway.
Shorts, Sanders, Brown, Evans, and Coleman could be trade bait.  They may not bring much, but Mike Thomas and Blaine Gabbert got a pick, so you never know.

Uh no....

If Bortles becomes what he appears to be blooming into he's a franchise QB. You don't trade them away once you have them.

A WR of Shorts' ability is slightly better than a dime a dozen.

We disagree on what Shorts will wind up costing.

Yeah probably.

The local radio guys have made some good points about Shorts.

Shorts would be smart to take a "reasonable extension" with Jacksonville - because he just can't stay healthy.

For Shorts, he would make a ton of money if he stayed healthy this year and got 1000 yards or something, but the likelihood of that happening is slim IMO.
