Bortles is getting robbed of even getting a chance to compete for the rookie of the year.

Bortles will win MVP and not concern himself with rookie accolades

you also have to remember that these are his first games. also, starting games and coming in at some random time are not the same. also, he could have scored again after his first score last game, but they took him out. you can't really extrapolate things like that without him playing a full game.

yeah that's a good point. Has a lot to do with him getting in rhythm and mentally knowing when he comes in.

The brain is a funny thing.. some people don't even bother to use it and some people still think we only use 10 percent of our brain. I guess that's a story for another night. Either way Bortles has looked good.

How does your math work?

 

There are 4X16= 64 quarters in an NFL season

 

If he threw a td every 4 Quarters thats 16 TD's.

If he threw a td every 5 quarters thats  12 TD's minimum.

 

Split the difference and that is 14 TD's.  Keep in mind that most of his playing time have been with bum receivers.

Funny, you only seem to see the insult when it goes one way. You totally miss all the insults aimed my way by some of these people. Then I retaliate and thats the only thing YOU see/ comprehend. 

 

hint: that first sentence in his post was meant as an insult. It wasn't "just asking me a question".

not saying you don't get some unwarranted insults but you seem to dish them out  just as much.

If Henne wants to be a good teammate he will fake an injury or just suck really bad (intentionally or unintentionally) giving the people what they want.

It's kinda like the chicken and the egg. Which came first? Did TMD start out being insulting the board, or did the board insult TMD? I've been on here a few years and it's always been both ways. I can say that since the regime change TMD has been much more positive, and lately usually gets insulted first. But again I don't have the history to know if justified or not.

Matt Ryan only threw 2 in his rookie preseason. Of course he started all 16 regular season games, but I could see Bortles putting up similar numbers to Ryan's rookie year if he plays at least 12 games, which I think will happen. Also, Matt Ryan was 34/59 for 294 yards 2TDs and 1 INT in his rookie preseason. Bortles is 28/45 for 435 1 TD and no picks through 3 preseason games just to put Bortles level of play in prospective.

These were Ryan's numbers his rookie year:

 

I wouldn't complain about that.. granted Ryan started all 16 games.
