The colts 2012 draft is the Jaguars 2009 draft except for Luck.

All the Jaguars fans thought the 2009 draft was great and Gene Smith was headed for stardom, turned out everyone we drafted wasn't as good as we thought.

On the bright side, though, at least you colts fans do still have a franchise QB. Too bad we have one now, too. I look forward to the Jaguars being to Luck and the colts what Brady and the Pats were to you guys back in the AFCE.

I mean Cleveland, CLEVELAND, traded him away.  That's like buying wedding rings at a flea market.

Yikes, really putting your Bortles that high up on a pedestal. If it doesn't work out for you your let down is going to be 100x worse.

Also at the bolded: The difference is though, the Colts 2012 draft class IS good.

No, the difference is that the 2012 colts class had Luck in it. He'll make it seem like the rest of the class was good the same way Manning used to make the colts seem like they were good. Once he was gone for a season it was clear that the rest of the team was marginal at best.

As for Bortles, I'm not worried about him not working out. It appears that only a significant injury would stop him from being a franchise QB.

I think Bortles has a good chance at being good as well, the thing is you're already comparing him to Tom Brady and the Patriots LOL. If he does even slightly less than that you'll be disappointed. I think you need to curtail your expectations. When the Colts got Luck in 2012 my expectations were 6-10 or 8-8 AT BEST. I was ecstatic when we went 11-5 with a playoff berth. Made it that much better.

It's like you're going to see a movie this weekend and all week everyone you run into is telling you how it's the best movie ever. Then when you go and see the movie you think it was "alright/good" and you're severely disappointed because all you've heard all week was that it is the best movie ever.

I'm not comparing him to Tom Brady, I'm comparing the kind of roadblock team coming from behind with a younger QB the Jaguars could be for the colts.

So I'm not predicting 5+ superbowl appearances for Bortles, just that the Jaguars will get in the colts way.
Bortles is going to the hall of fame. He reminds me of John Elway. The jags will be perennial contenders for 20 years. Am I doing this hype thing right Colts fans?

This is the best Luck analogy i've heard. This sums it up perfectly, I'm shocked it came from you
Richardson still stinks

I'm not sure, ask Oklahomie.
I also remember you Colts fans saying Richardson would be so much better because Luck will open up the run. What happened?

Sort of pathetic hearing Colts fans cheer when Richardson busts through the line for a gain of 3 yards.

And how bout that goal line offense. First and goal from the half yard line and unable to take it in. And then first and goal from the three and can't get it in.

Must kill you guys knowing you spent a first rounder on this bozo and his brings you nothing. You were better off with Donald Brown, lol.

The Colts fans got quite loud when he burst through a tackle and rumbled for about 4 yards. Was this out of sarcasm?

Toby Gerhart is basically a superior Trent Richardson without the wasting of a 1st rounder

That was an epic 4 yard run. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Well he does run a 4 yard dash in 4.4 flat
And Richardson still looks as mediocre as he's looked since entering the NFL.

That man can't crack 3 yrds a carry to save his life.

Bwhahaha!!
I have no idea how the Colts GM can be so bad that his team has went 11-5, after a total rebuild. Who are these nobodies that he has acquired that is beating teams like the Seahawks, Broncos, 49ers & Chiefs?

Smoke-N-Mirrors?

Not every player is going to be the best player at his position on any team. It doesn't work that way. Heck, not every player on a team will even be in the top half at their position. Every team makes due with scrubs, and third stringers. If I recall, there were around 45(ish) players of the Colts 53 player roster that was NOT retained when Grigson took over from Polian, and some more of those were replaced last season.

The Richardson trade looks like a total bonehead trade, I think this season will be the most telling. I believe the majority of Colts fans feel the same way. As far as I am concerned, this is the Richardson suck or not year, and you probably aren't going to have any Colts fan bet on him not sucking. Every team, and every GM screws up. Name me one GM that has 5 years under his belt that hit on every acquisition.

As long as the Colts are on the winning side of the NFL, and making the playoffs regularly, Grigson's job is probably safe. It appears to me the Jaguars are possibly about to join the competition with the Colts for the division title, and I wouldn't count the Texans down and out either, they have way too much talent to be considered out of it. I don't have a good feel for the Titans, but the whole division appears much stronger than the last few years.
We are all in agreement Sammy, we all want Grigson to keep his job.
