Quote:Really weird. Now both of my accounts say the same thing and no, doesn't matter which computer I log on from or whether I use Chrome, Explorer, etc... Doesn't work on my phone either and says the same thing. I tried messaging FBT and he may have gotten back with me, but now I can't log into my jtmoneyjag account to find out. Guess I'll post something on website and see if I can get an answer. HELP!!!That is weird. I need you to get that rectified though. I can't wait to see your avatar decked out in some sort of Gator picture for a bit.

Almost there! Big change this year with the playoffs. With 4 teams getting in, losing a game isnt quite as bad as it used to be. Which will keep more teams in the hunt. And hopefully more interesting regular season non-conference games going forward. we'll see. Anyways for week 1 games I care about... starting with my schools....
Temple at Vandy - Vandy has picked Robinette as their QB. I wonder if he'll finish the season that way. Philip Rivers brother Stephen transferred in from LSU and everyone assumed he would get the nod but maybe he hasnt had enough time to learn the offense. While I like the fact more and more college games are on TV, I really dont like these 9:15PM weeknight starting times. These games were designed for college kids. Not working adults with children!
Clemson at UGA - I'm half debating going to this. Although the longterm forecast for saturday is in the 90s. Thats too hot. And tix are looking expensive. My air conditioned house and comfy couch are tough to pass up. Not sure what to think of either team. Both breaking in new QBs. UGA has better skill players. And I think they are supposed to have the better defense.
other games...
Boise St vs Ole Miss - I'm only putting this first because I may be able to score a free ticket in a luxury box to this game. With an open bar no less. So I'm definitely looking forward to this game if I can get this ticket
Texas A&M at SC - First big game of the year. And the SEC Network kickoff. Lots of SEC teams breaking in new QBs. Not sure what to expect of A&M. Sometimes when your team is basically centered around one player, it hides the fact that the rest of the team could be really good or really bad. As far as SC, Dylan Thompson replaces Connor Shaw. I think this is a big loss. Thompson has had some really good moments but some really terrible one's. And Shaw was sort of their Superman always coming in to save the day. I think they'll miss his gumption.
Wisconsin vs LSU in Lambeau - how awesome would this game be to go to if you were a fan of either. You know the tailgating will be out of this world. Green Bay in late August... I bet the temperature will be perfect to spend all day outside. Historic football stadium. And then add on this should just be a good game. Almost makes me want to buy a plane ticket up there.
FSU vs Okie St - Too bad Okie St isnt supposed to be as good as in years past. You have to think FSU wins but you never know how teams will play the year after winning the title.
Arkansas at Auburn - I dont understand why the SEC plays conference games early and lousy cupcake games later in the year. Will be interesting to see how Bielema's continues to adapt to the SEC. Auburn has high hopes and their QB has Heisman hopes. You have to think they'll win, but dont sleep on the Hogs. If they play the way Bielema wants, it's the perfect strategy to slow down Auburn. Run the ball, run the clock, keep it out of Auburn's hands.
Penn St vs UCF - I'm really only interested because I'll be able to wake up and turn this game on. UCF is losing a lot of talent as we all know. Have to think Penn St rolls.
UCLA at UVA - The Hoos are my ACC team just because I've got a bunch of family from the backwoods of Virginia that have a tailgating spot there. Great town to spend a weekend in. Never understood why UVA isnt better in football. Great school, great town, lots of money, great recruiting base... most underachieving school in college football. Anyways UCLA is supposed to be good. Brett Hundley coming back for another year at QB. I'm less interested in him now that we drafted our QB this past year. But they do have playoff hopes.
CSU vs CU - having lived in Denver I always liked this game. They should play it later in the year though when it could potentially snow. I never liked it starting off the season. Pretty much the only game on Friday night so I'll be watching.
Miami at Louisville - both teams breaking in new QBs. I feel like this is the Miami Bowl. Seems like half of Louisville's roster is from south Florida and obviously so is Miami's.
Ohio St at Navy - I had less interest in this game before Braxton went out. But now the Ohio St offense could be a little tight and uncoordinated. And with Navy running and running and running, could keep it close late.
Northern Iowa at Iowa - Dont sleep on the Fighting Meesters... I mean Panthers. They played Iowa and Wisconsin tough two years ago and took down Iowa St last year.

I'm back sucka's (hope that isn't considered a curse word). Fired up for the Noles this Saturday!
Clemson vs Georgia always intriguing. Really sets the tone for the rest of the year.
Miami vs Louisville is a good test for both programs. Will Miami ever get over the hump?
Ohio State vs Navy as rfc said, interesting now without Braxton.
And of course Texas A&M vs South Carolina. Seems like many think SC pulls away in the 2nd half making this game look better on paper than it will actually be.

Quote:I'd delete OSU vs Navy and UF vs Idaho from a competitive standpoint and include Arkansas vs Auburn 4pm game.
I can't wait !!!
I guess you missed the "Braxton Miller re-injures shoulder" thread. He is out for the year and his backup is redshirt freshman J.T. Barrett. That means it will be a lot more competitive than you would have expected when the schedule came out. Plus it is at Navy. But I doubt the game will be shown here while the Gators beat Idaho at home. I expect that to be a bigger blowout than the OSU/Navy game.

RFC, I read the Buckeyes are going to have a more up-tempo offense, so they can easily compensate for "running and running and running" if J.T. Barette is able to get the ball out fast and has some speedy receivers. Urban Meyer is trying to do everything Chip Kelly did at Oregon. That is their way of dealing with the loss of Braxton Miller. So bit may not be as close as you think.
That said, I expect Navy to score more points than Idaho, so from a competition standpoint, Ohio State has a better game than Florida.

I just realized the LSU-Wisconsin game is being played in Houston. I thought it was in Lambeau... just looked it up and it's the 2015 matchup that will be played in Lambeau. Didnt realize they were playing each other twice. Good thing I didnt get that plane ticket.

This year's draft is all about FS/SS Cody Prewitt which is a position we hopefully don't need.
But man the talent they have for the 2016 draft and at prime positions:
LT - Laremy Tunsil
WR - Laquon Treadwell
DT - Robert Nkemdiche
Walter already has the above all going top 20 in the 2016 draft.
Hybrid TE - Evan Engram
OG - Aaron Morris
OG - Justin Bell
Leo - CJ Johnson
Leo - Marques Haynes (FR)
DT/DE - Fadol Brown
Are positions we are in need of that these guys fit in and all are guys that will most likely be drafted in later rounds.
Prewitt had a very nice game in coverage and laying some wood. Had 1 Int and should have had another.
Tunsil held his own but had 2 Offsides and got dinged.
Treadwell put up a great game with blocking and finishing with 7 catches 105 yards and a TD
Nkemdiche finally lived up to the hype and was living in the boise state backfield and also caused a tip pass that let to an INT.
The two OGs looked terrible especially Morris who had 3-4 false starts.
Haynes flashed his potential grabbing a sack and multiple pressures.
CJ Johnson had an INT and forced another with his pressure if he wasn't so lean//injury prone he is would be a nice LEO prospect.
Evan Engram did respectable and probably could have had more yards as 2 of the QBs INTS were targeting him.
Boise St. Players that showed potential:
RB Jay Ajayi leading rusher for both teams (86) and BSU leading receiver at 96. At 6'1" 215 he looked good.
WR Matt Miller made some nice catches and showed a knack for finding open spots.
Surprise of the Game:
Ole Miss WR Cody Core
Scored OM 1st TD and showed great moves to win routes at the LOS and speed/moves to score on a 76yard TD that was off a slant.

I found one more reason to hate Cox Communications: They list all of the games available to people with the most expensive plans without including channel numbers, so I had to waste time looking at the TV channel listings just to find out I am not able to watch either Ohio State at Navy or Idaho at Florida. Why don't they just give my mom a list of channels including in her plan? It makes me so mad when I see my favorite teams are on TV in Gainesville, but not my living room.

You can probably got to the Cox website and print out a list of the channels that are available in your cable package.
It's good to see you posting again JW, the boards not the same without you!
