Seeing how Pasztor has the hand/wrist injury and Bowanko sprained ankle; coupled with Brewsters lack of standing out at the C position, do you all think we should attempt at getting Boone from San Fran to possibly secure the RG position? I know we drafted Linder for that spot; but he may be needed at the C spot more than expected if Brewster doesn't stack up. What do you all think? Worth an attempt? I'm not sure what kind of money he wants; but we still have good cap space.

BTW GO JAGS!!

I imagine we'll see a tackle and a guard brought in from the waiver wire or off the street, but probably just placeholders until the hurt guys are ready to go.

I think we see Joeckel, Beadles, Brewster, Linder, Bradfield to start the season  --

Joeckel, Beadles, Bowanko (maybe Brewster), Linder, Pasztor by the Bye-week.

(I bet Pasztor is playing with a cast by week 3 of the reg season)

Yea, I agree. I was just thinking this might be a good option if Linder plays well at C. Then we'd have some depth at the positions and RG would be good-to-go for the most part. I think part the reason Bortles doesn't start now or anytime soon is the O-line; which I agree with. If San Fran wanted a 3rd and 6th rounder, would you go with it? I'm never down for trading 1st and 2nd rounders, and usually 3rd rounders. But Boone could be worth it. I'm just pondering the thought. Our O-Line has been an issue for a while and still is for the most part.

GO JAGS!!
I wouldn't mind having Boone, but am not in favor of giving up draft picks unless it is a 6 or 7.

If they really like Linder at center it is within the realm of possibility.  I wouldn't hate it.  Just depends on the price. I don't know enough about Boone to say if he's worth a 3rd and a 6th.
No no Lageman says they played well. Everything is ok.

And Gus Bradley

The downside of the Jaguars going with a rookie Center is it probably and understandably will keep Blake Bortles on the bench,  even if he clearly demonstrates that he's the team's best option at QB ( providing there's a veteran Center in place that knows the system. ).

Yup. See. Were good.

I agree. I'm not high on trading picks. But we don't have enough talented depth to trade anyone they would want/need equal to his talent; and be willing to give up. He's a very good G that can play T. I'm not sure if he would benefit from our scheme. But I know we'd have to give up way more than a 6th or 7th rd pick for him.

Gabbert traded for a 6th. Boone for the same? No way! lol

GO JAGS!!

You don't trade for a player. You draft and develop. If we keep the current players; Cam Bradfield steps in at RT and Brewster and Linder start. That probably leaves McClendon and Sam Young as your backup OL. My guess is that one or both of them gets cut as Paztor and Bowanko come back. There is also a possibility of carrying an 8th OL on the roster who prob will be inactive for game day.
