Quote:Would love to see more of Robinson in kickoff or punt return duty. He has the speed and scat elusiveness.
He bobbled or dropped around half of the kick-offs he attempted to return last year in preseason.  The staff are understandably reluctant to repeat that.

Holy overreaction.

I like Denard Robinson as much as the next guy. I saw him bobble a hand off last game, so I said he still had issues securing the ball. If he had fumbled it people on here would be ready to crucify him.

I dont mean to derail my "agenda", but I would still expect a second year, 5th round , former QB running back to have issues securing the ball.
heh Darren Sprinkles

Its understandable the staff may not like it, but IMO, I think he gives us a better shot than what we had with Taylor last year, and Ace this year.

They've never tried Denard at PR as far as I know.   Seems like an odd time to give that a try. Something he's never done in his career.  If Doss can get healthy - his punt return average was quite good last year.  I could see him returning punts until Sanders gets another crack at it. Something I feel will almost certainly happen.

At KR  -  We were ninth in the league last year and Todman's 27.4 yard avg was 7th best among kick returners.  I think that's Todman's job if he's on the roster in September.
Quote:Dude had an ulnar nerve palsy. Pretty much eliminates the use of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th fingers on the involved hand. It's amazing that he could handle the ball at all. That appears to be completely resolved. I remember him having trouble handling one hand-off on Thursday, and otherwise no. Did I miss something?

He said on "All Access" that last year he essentially was playing with one hand.  Says that it has gotten much better - did lots of grip/strength work with the training staff during off season.

I'm sticking to my guns on Denard. I still think he'll be a playmaker as a change-of-pace back / gadget-play guy by year's end.

Agreed. I think he might need this year for further development, but I also think he will eventually be a playmaker for us.
I want to see shoelace, d-rob, DR, Robinson throw a ball in this coming game too (just for fun)...

Blake Bortles to play with the starters in the 2nd qtr...

I was wondering if anyone caught that. :whistling:
