Quote:He didn't start the fire.  In fact, our current president has done more to fan those flames than anyone in our lifetime.

I hear people say this all the time, and I don't understand why.   Please explain.   What has Obama done to fan the flames?

He refused to live in the slave shack out back of the WHITE house.

just my observations.

1.) Iraq a bad situation made worse by arming Al-Qeade rebels in Syria essentially creating the ISIS mess we have now. Granted Obama inherited a destabilized Iraq but pulling our troops out ( a move I supported) to only arm the Syrian rebels (doing the same thing Bush tried picking winners in the middle east) combined for an even worse problem in Iraq than before.

2.) Fast and Furious operation, again a program that was in place before Obama. However he continued and ramped up the operation under his administration. Under Obama the volume shipped to "catch drug cartels" become uncontrollable leading to thousands of Mexican deaths and at least one us customer border agent

3.) Immigration, by openly advertising public assistance in afforded to families in America and then essentially ordering a stand down at the border we have an immigration problem at an unprecedented level.

4.) Budget sure there was a deficit and a big one when Obama came to office. Obama than went and drove the already sinking dollar off the cliff were now at 17 trillion and counting with no signs of slowing down.

5.) Domestic Spying programs implemented by Bush in the post 9/11 era have been expanded under Obama. Programs like PRISM, NDAA and more have become even bigger under Obama

6.) Bipartisanship is dead, statements like "elections have consequences", "I won" and Obama's desire to radically change the nation have positioned him in an uncompromising march towards a socialist state.

Do I need to keep going?

Well you cite a bunch of mistakes he might have made, and things you disagree with, but I thought the reference was to how Obama has fanned the flames of racial resentment.   That's what I was asking.  Maybe I overinterpreted the phrase "fanning the flames."

well I might have missed the original comment, I was speaking more about fanning the flames as a term suggesting making bad situations worse. I don't think Obama has done anything to make "racial resentment" better or worse. I might argue Eric Holder has worked to make racial resentment worse but not Obama himself.

What is your opinion of former Congressman Lt. Col. Allen West?

I don't know who these people are but I have to assume you are trying to think of all the black people whose names you know.

I'm gonna go with George Washington Carver.

The one thing all of the people that were listed have in common is they are Black AND have been very critical of Obama.    When you have time,  I recommend that you listen or read their comments about Obama.

Lol I googled James David Manning just for a laugh and sure enough, lo and behold, the guy is a loon (go figure!)!!

"It is common knowledge that African men, coming from the continent of Africa—especially for the first time—do diligently seek out white women to have sexual intercourse with. Generally the most noble of white society choose not to intercourse sexually with these men. So it's usually the trashier ones who make their determinations that they're going to have sex."

I especially like how he gave himself a doctorate from the his made-up seminary school.

Since you have "google skills".

How about doing a google search regarding Herman Cain?  State one FACT as to why he is a "loon" or how he maybe lied about something.

I'm sure that he became a millionaire because "he was born into it".

He didn't "work for his money".

His principals and ideas are not part of the American Dream.

Then google Representative Corrine Brown.

Compare the two, and tell us why one is different or better than the other when it comes to serving in a political office.
Quote:He's black, duh.

This is a ridiculous and outlandish defense of the President.

Any criticism against him?  Obviously racism.  Couldn't possibly be that people don't agree with the job he's doing.  The only people who don't like him?  Obviously racists.  That's the only answer.

It's nothing more than an ad hominem attack.

How about this?  http://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/no...ibya-gaffe

Is he better or different from Corrine Brown?   No.  Not in the world of politics.  I'm sure he's a good businessman.  But President of the United States?   That's laughable.
