I don't "identify" with any of the parties, but I am a registered democrat, not for any actual reason other than closed primaries, was a register republican a few years ago for the same reason.

I've got an Uncle that's the same way. They didn't even have a TV or Microwave in their house because they where convinced it was a tool for the government to cook your brainwaves.
