You guys hear about this? NASA announcing we nearly missed some solar storm that would've knocked all electronics off the planet in 2012. yikes you always hear about that stuff on the doomsday shows but never really entertain it as a possibility.

that's horribly close. They also said it's 12% chance we will get hit by one of these solar storms in the next 10 years. Holy crap I guess I gotta start building a Faraday Cage......

I got near Miss Solar Storm once. Security dragged me away before I could demonstrate my coronal mass ejection.
Upon skimming through the headlines, I thought I was seeing "Miss Solar Storm" as well....
