I just saw a picture of the new championship trophy, although I'm excited about what it represents, that is one hideous looking thing, I can't think of any worse, maybe one of the bowl games

Perhaps if you posted a picture of the trophy, that might help?

 

They couldn't do something better than that?

Yeah, it just seems a little boring...at least with this one it doesn't seem like you can drop it and it will shatter.

 

Maybe it looks better in person.

Thanks for the assist FBT, that thing weighs 35lbs, so I guess when they're passing it around the kicker will have to just touch it

It's alright. Jimbo is building a new case as we speak and is having the trophy brought in so measurements can be accurate.

Actually, they still will. I read the other day that there was not an official "BCS Trophy". The winner of the BCS title game was given the crystal trophy for finishing first in the coaches poll. The plan is to still award the team in first with that trophy. The new trophy is for the winner of the Football Playoff. In all likelihood it will be the same team.

I hope that's right! The crystal football is cool looking...this new trophy looks like someone put the Lombardi on a very strict diet!!
