Since I'm a Miami fan, am I supposed to be like FSU fan and blow this off as okay and defend the players?... Ninja

1. Living in NJ you probably don't personally know any FSU fans.

2. Cite defenses given on this forum by FSU fans for criminal actions.

1. Not true, I know several up here...and 2. they seem to be just like the one's I see on the board, the ones that defend Jameis for the rape accusations and that "stealing" crablegs or anything else of small value is okay. I'm not going to go back and comb the past Jameis threads. If you want proof go back and read them yourself. The examples are there. Many.

It seems the college fan seems to be more defensive than pro fan on these matters. (with the exception of Cowboy fan)
TMD sometimes the words you type just amaze me. The 2 players in this crime confessed to police about some of the illegal action they took part in. If it was any player including my favorite Jags player Freddy T that had done this i would ask for his head be removed from the rest of his body. Same goes for Winston if that was the case.

Not sure what I said that amazes you..

I'm  a Miami fan and you won't hear me defending these 2 players. You also wouldn't have heard me defending Miami players if they stole something, even as minor as "crab legs".

Wrong is wrong.

Wrong is wrong and i completely agree but u have to understand that i could probally just aswell go to the miami forums and find fans defending them. Should i say the same about Miami and Uf fans or should i just assume i ran into the sad individuals. you seem to think its only in the FSU community but this stupidity is everywhere.

Probably very true
Does saying he's received the appropriate punishment and it's been dealt with count as defending?

Did anyone else notice TMD took a thread about a few specific Miami players getting into trouble and threadjacked it in the first sentence?

That's got to be some kind of record.

I agree.

And you're probably right that if you went to a Miami forum there could be some knuckleheads also defending...

No Miami fan in this thread has defended these players (yet) anyway.

FSU knuckleheads just seem to be more abundant around here, tho. Maybe because its a little closer than the U of M.

Regarding these latest Miami player arrests....

If I wanted to be a Miami apologist, I could say something like (after seeing this story)....

"Looks like Miami is getting their program back to normal".... Ninja

Back in the 80's/ 90's, this type of story seemed routine for the U...... fan or not.

Because of the location i could see us having more knuckleheads yes but those knuckleheads do not represent the FSU fan base as a whole. We can trash talk score boards, wins and losses all we want but the second a player publicly presents himself as an idiot then we all need to be on the same page.

I agree.

Thats the side I'm taking here regarding these Miami players as well.

This news is disappointing as a fan of the program and Golden.

I'm not going to defend him for stealing crab legs. That was a dumb*** move on his part. As far as the rape accusations go, read the police report and not the NY Times slam piece. If you read the police report, you would realize why FSU fans defend him.

What the hell are you on?

The players admitted they raped a teenage college student.

You are a pathetic sicko moron if you can put aside your "fandom" and condemn the players for their act.

Point out these people out.

Its typical. People get used to it after the first 2 threads.
They're not as easy to defend because the evidence doesnt support it.  If there was a chance they were innocent, I'm sure there would be many rushing to their defense.

I'm assuming you meant to type "can't" rather than "can" up there....

I'm condemning the Miami players here. And I'd also condemn the players if they did something as perceived innocuous (by some) as stealing crab legs.

I make no excuses for players (or regular people) that commit crime.

Yes, I meant to type can't.

You hijacked this thread by saying FSU fans blow off crimes the football players commit when it has ZERO to do with this thread. Totally different subject.

Also, Ive yet to see you name the very people on this board who defended Winston's legal issue.

Oh please Oprah, relax. Miami and FSU are rivals (well at least they used to be), so yeah, it was a bit of a comparison with the police blotter of the 2 teams/ fans.

It wouldn't be any different if it was a Titans player thread where a Titan was arrested and someone compared the Jags situation to it or vice versa (which happens all the time) , or Cowboys/ Redskins in that conference. Just having a little bantering.
