I wonder if he will be wearing #16 as a running back?

He did last year after the NFL forced the Jags to ditch the OW designation.
I doubt he'll be changing numbers.

I'm wondering if he'll even make the final roster.

He's safe this year unless he totally blows preseason and one of the UDFA's absolutely take off.
Not totally sure what he offers that is superior to Todman
WILDCAT ACTION! That's what he offers.

J/K I like Todman, the young man runs hard!

I don't see Robinson being at risk for a roster spot to begin the season.  He was a 5th round conversion project last year; Caldwell knew in drafting him that it would take some patience for development at a new spot.  However, the guy is a playmaker....and this team has lacked playmakers for some time.  Denard is an incredible "jar on the shelf" that just needs some seasoning.

This. I don't know how anyone could say his roster spot is in jeopardy right now.

He didn't show any playmaking ability last season. The one he fumbled on the line was probably his best play
We are contemplating whether Denard Robinson, one of the GMs favorite players, a draft choice last year who was chosen with development in mind, and a player who is, by all accounts, killing it right now... has his roster spot in danger?

Dead. Zone.

I can't see him being cut
Teams are generally reluctant to part ways with young draft picks with speed without off-field issues.

He has been so hyped up but last season I didnt see the Offensive Weapon, but rather a guy that had tons more opportunities than most to succed but kept failing.  The dropped passes the 3.3 rushing average on 20 attempts which included 3 fumbles.  I mean honestly how many other guys would keep getting chances after doing that?  So far he hasnt dropped any passes in the off season let's see how he does in Preseason this year before spectualing how great he will be.

That all being said he was a rookie in a new offense with a new head coach and they tried him at too many positions.  If he focuses on simply being a Running back he has potential.

Its been well documented that he had a nerve issue in his hand and he was a rookie playing a new position but OK we should cut him.
Only way he makes it is if we keep 4 backs. Toby, Todman, storm, then Denard. (Unless he has an incredible turnaround)
Also keep an eye out for that Cobb guy

He makes it.

Todman is the odd man out. Storm Johnson is his replacement.

Really? I keep asking that same question but the other way around. As far as Upside, Speed, & Toughness. Drob>>>Todman. If he really has learned how to catch I dont see Todman coming close to matching his skill set.

Speed.   He is much faster than Todman.
