The Jags should have drafted him in the 1st!

Quote:...not Chad Henne.

Hallelujah!
I think he was ruined by having to start to soon.

I agree hes not last but he is in the 28-32 range lol

Baby steps.

First, a QB in the 20s.

Then, one in the top half.

Then...

What is this guy referring to with the 4.8 average?

Chad Henne:  13 TD, 14 INT, 60.6% CMP, 6.44 AVG, 3241 YDS, 31.9 QBR, 75.3 RATING

Geno Smith:   12 TD, 21 INT, 55.8% CMP, 6.88 AVG, 3046 YDS, 35.9 QBR, 66.5 RATING

He was a rookie on a team with no offensive weapons. His numbers are similar to Sanchez' rookie numbers when he made the playoffs.  If he's the worst, I doubt its for too long.

It's not a stretch to say Henne is the second best starter in the AFCS. Which is sad to say.

He might not be the worst for long, but he will be in the bottom 25% of the starting QBs for quite some time.
Lol all the Geno fan boys where you at?

They still think he was worth the #2 overall pick and will re-surface when Geno throws his 1st touchdown next year (despite the fact it will probably be after 3 INTs are thrown first). People on this forum absolutely hate admitting they were wrong. The funny thing is that a lot of the Geno then became Teddy Bridgewater guys, too.
HA HA...Henne is better than a rookie with no weapons...wow...stop the presses...If we had not drafted Bortles to take the helm I would much rather have Geno right now over Henne...at least with Geno there is still hope he can get better...Henne is what he is...an average to below average back up.

What weapons did Henne have last year?   A fat over the hill rb?  Blackmon for 4 games?  Who else?   Henne may have been  in worse shape than the jets.

Don't forget Shorts...the top WR for the Jets was ranked 86th with 556 yards...the rushing was actually on par with each other...not to mention Geno was a rookie and Henne was in his 6th year in the league...also don't discredit Blackmon...in 4 games he had 415 yards...just 141 yards shy of the top WR for the Jets...so in comparing the two he made an impact.

I am not saying Geno is great...but IMO we shouldn't be all excited that a 6 year veteran was only slightly better than a rookie with overall slightly better weapons.

sigh, your missing the point. the point is the Geno Fanboys where way off, he sucks with the possibility of not sucking one day like most said. Not worth the #2 pick for sure, but the fanboys won't admit that.

Who cares?

If you followed the CFB board, you'd see why people care. For 3 months leading up to the 2013 draft, we had to hear things like

"You take Geno 2nd overall because you can't win without a franchise QB."

"You want to pass on Geno Smith, a potential franchise QB?"

"You take the QB every time."

etc.

etc.

Then, consider how condescending 50% of the posters on this board are you can imagine how self-righteous some of those posts came off. Geno guys will continue to pretend like Geno was worth the #2 overall pick because "QBs > everything else". While QBs are obviously the most important players in the league, you don't draft a crappy QB just because he is a QB when there is much better talent available.

Then fast forward to December the 2013 season. Most of these Geno fans were now Teddy Bridgewater guys. They used the same cliches "You take Teddy Bridgewater because QB > everything else". Anyone who didn't think Teddy was sold on being worth the #3 overall pick was deemed stupid. At least we have Bortles now, so these same guys will take some time off rather than picking their new must-have-QB in a few months.

Regardless, what's so bad about a little accountability around here? God forbid....

Don't see that at all.
Really? Still need to bash Geno? A rookie with the worst weapons in the league? Let's give him a couple seasons.

Playing Devil's Advocate here but do you think that WR would have achieved more if he had someone better than Geno throwing to him?
