I dunno if this has been mentioned but my preference is a chip I only sampled back in the 90s in a trip to my SO's home town of New Orleans.  You can get them here, but they're hard to find.

I was just about to post Zapp's. Lived in New Orleans for a few years and these are the best! Been a while, but the Jalapeno are very good.

 

Also liked Charles Chips out of Philly too. Did home delivery for a long time, not sure if they still do. Big tins they'd come in
