Quote:How was he "crying"? He was talking about a subject he was asked about. You know, what players do with the media. What's the big deal?
Why are so many people seeming to be personally offended by MJD now? And the in interview I saw he didn't take any shots at Jacksonville.
Most of the whining seems to be on here, not by MJD.
This... They don't hear you tho.
Quote:MJD who????
Maurice Jones-Who? I like it.
I don't understand why fans want to kick players in the butt when they are out the door. Is any of this information surprising? His behavior hasn't changed since college. I enjoyed watching him play on our awful teams. He was our only offense for so many games.

It's been a couple of months now since MJD has left the Jags, you would think most of the whining would have subsided by now.

For the record, I was kicking MJD in the butt long before he was out the door. I was in the "trade him for a 2nd" crowd before he got old and fat, because the future of the RB position in the NFL was clear at the time. There is no denying the guy creates artificial chips on his shoulder to motivate him and that is annoying, former Jag or not.

What was all that talk of selecting 32 because of it being a reminder of how many teams passed on him?
I don't think it's hard to believe he settled for 32 for that reason, since 21 wasn't available.
Quote:I don't think it's hard to believe he settled for 32 for that reason, since 21 wasn't available.
So, what would the story had been if 32 wasn't available?
"I picked 16 because that was the number of divisions that passed on me in the 1st round."
"I picked 2 because that is the number of conferences that passed on me in the 1st round".
"I picked 1 because that is the number of leagues that passed on me in the 1st round".

Cute deflection of what he actually said. Eric actually said...
<p style="margin-left:40px;">
"His constant crying was annoying when he was here, but he's taking the victim card to a whole new level."
...which is very true. MJD has always been a drama queen, always will. For some reason, he feels like he's got to pump up the drama to motivate himself.
Whatever works for him, I guess. He just comes off a bit petty in the process of manufacturing that sizable chip on his shoulder.
Bunnie also nailed it. Pocket Napolean needs his Waterloo.

You and Eric must be awfully sensitive people if you see MJD as constantly crying. So many people are so easily annoyed. I guess it's some sort of envy regarding the fame and money that comes their way.
We cheer them when they are on our side and we whine about them when they move on. Says more about us than them.

MJD was just "answering a question" but anyone that discusses and disagrees with what he says is just a jealous petty whiner....

You nailed it I'm super sensitive

Trying taking things in context, MJD was a whiner when he was here, and I called him on it then as well. Like many others on here I was tired of his 32 teams passed me up gimmick while he was still here.
since leaving he's talked constantly about being done wrong in Jax, then later talks about how he knew he'd lost a step. This is just another fabricated chip he puts on his shoulder to play the victim card. nothing new under the sun.
I suspect you'd even agree with me that MJD has always had a need to fabricate a victim status, except it would go against your agenda to oppose anything I say on any issue.

Not nearly as sensitive as you are to a differing opinion, it would appear.
I've got nothing against the guy, and he doesn't annoy me.
Just making an honest observation.
Unlike the blind apologists for his petty behavior and attitude (which was commented on while he was here, since you're feigning ignorance on the subject.)

What? Did you see the ESPN pieces which he was a part of? Doesn't sound like it. What was there to disagree with?
It was about as bland and standard as they come. It's clear that the simple act of MJD being on tv in any capacity will bring out people who act like he kicked their dog.

My point is, why do you care? Is he still with the Jaguars? Did he not sign an autograph for you? Why do you sound so distraught about his "whining"?
And how was "32 teams passed me up" a gimmick? You must tire easily.
Sure, MJD needs to fabricate some issue to fire him up. So? Good grief, plenty of NFL players have all kinds of personas. Do all of them bother you? It just seems like such a waste of energy to rag on one of the best players of the team you say you're a fan of. Just think how you'd feel if you didn't like the Jaguars.

Maybe there are fans that need an issue to fire them up about their too. So what?

Exactly - so what?
Look, if people want to get all wrapped up in the lives of the rich and famous ...
At least MJD was a Jaguar. Johnny Manziel is the anti-Christ, apparently.

I do have to wonder though, why you came into this thread in the first place. Maybe you're a little wrapped up in the lives of the rich and famous just like everyone else in this thread...

So you've gone from asking how MJD is a crying to admitting he fabricates issues, so what's the purpose of asking me in the 1st place?
I commented on the topic in a message board, your countering a thought only to agree with it few post later?

Im betting his holdout from 3 years ago has plenty to do with the sentiment towards him.
"<i>We pay his salary, he has no right to hold out".</i>
