Of all the new quarterbacks who have entered the NFL through the draft, which one will start first ?
They all have work to do if they are to win the starting jobs they want.
But which franchise will take the plunge first ?
Will the first of the new quarterbacks be Manziel ? Bridgewater, or maybe one of the others ?
(Let's face it, the Texans are probably in the race too with their bizarre stable of second stringers...)
Honestly, Bridge probably has the best shot to start early on.
Well, the minicamp reports are Bridgewater looks fantastic, Bortles has been mostly up but with plenty of downs too, and Manziel has been extremely raw...and that's not counting the off field things that are rubbing the team the wrong way.
So basically exactly as expected all around hah.
According to manziel he's going to start the season soooooo.... Gunna have to say bridgewater.

Where does Brett Smith fit into this prognostication?

Still sour about how you called me out when I said Fales won't go before the 6th round? HAH

He is one of 3 "franchise" QBs in this draft. So I don't know what your talking about.
With Adrian Peterson on your team, the Vikings can ease Bridgewater into things pretty easily. Not to mention Cordarlle Paterson really looked impressive towards the end of the season. With AP running the ball and tossing a few screens to CPat, Bridgewater should start at least by week 6 if not the opener. Manziel and Bortles will only start towards the end of the year when both are easily out of a playoff spot
I'm wondering if Manziel is going to even last a season at this point. he's taking it to a whole new level.

Pittsburgh defensive players are staying pretty quiet about it at this point, but I'll bet they are hoping that Manziel is under center week 1.
Johnny Football, because that is how Cleveland rolls :teehee:.

Hmm, I think your quote would infer that you think I said that, but you are very mistaken if so. The praise I gave Brett Smith was that I thought he was one of the two developmental QBs (Logan Thomas being the other) that had franchise QB potential...and I said that they were both 10-20% chance of that as well.
I do apologize if your quote was aimed at someone else though.

Really don't understand how my awfully tepid support of Brett Smith somehow morphed into this raging fire of love that you all seem to think it was...
From what Ive heard, Bridgewater has the best shot. But my moneys on Manziel (as much as I hate to say it) on starting first.

So it counts if he's wearing a red jsy and not getting hit and looks good, but it means nothing if he's not getting hit without the red jsy and does not look good on his pro day ? No bias there! HAH

Not sure what you're talking about.
Given draft position, there was only one "franchise" prospect QB of this draft class, and one roll of the dice taken after him. The rest were "maybe"s. Otherwise, there would have been a run on QBs after Bortles.
