Quote:Another question... do you guys think 2 players EVER grade out equally?  Like completely equally?

I find it hard to believe that with all the information available to scouts and GMs that they couldn't discern differences..  I can't imagine a group of players with identical grades where they're just like "oh just pick em out of a hat, they're equal".

But very interesting topic.

It would make sense to pick someone who has thrived in your climate, for example, especially if your climate is considered extreme.

Personally, I am of the belief that this happens. While it is by no means the same, I know that when I coach Youth Ball that there are players who are different types of athletes that I would consider to have equal grades as players.

One thing about this, and I am not trying to derail the thread, but the idea that one or more players can grade out equally is a kept point in the BAP vs. Need discussion. If you are of the belief that no two players ever have the same grade, then you probably fall along the BAP lines. If you feel that players can be judged the same, then you may go more Need based.
And it's funny, I was thinking this exact same thing after the draft happened. Cyprien, Evans, D. Robinson, Bortles, Smith, Linder. Allen Robinson is from Florida?

The top 3 states, recruiting wise, are Texas, Florida, and California. Funny how it seems our players tend to come from those states.
