First time seeing this thread, so I apologize if it has been said.
During the soccer game I made a comment that the stadium is going to look like a brand new one. The upgrades/updates are really, really cool. Can't wait to see the finished product. Man those score boards are impressive!

I was in the east club for the game this weekend. That was the first time I really could gauge how enormous they are going to be. The cabanas, pools and stuff will look cool. But these boards are going to be ridiculous.
Quote:If this is true, you may have a drinking problem.
I was going to buy a beer at the soccer game Saturday, then I saw it was $11. Call me cheap, but beer isn't worth that much.
Not at all $50 parking figure $150 in food I was buying for all four at the time and then id have 6-7 beers at $8 a pop that's what another $60-70 buck it adds up.
Quote:Left off the zero.
Yeah...$3000 a year on that stuff is crazy. Sorry.
Ok gotcha

$50 parking? They let you park right outside the club entrance?

Yeah I am with you. Seeing the pictures, and live webcam feed is one thing. Sitting in the NEZ with that thing right behind was impressive. I was dead center middle of the NEZ seeing both scoreboards was awesome. Picturing what everything will look like when the cabanas are up, pools running, ribbon rolling, and the new videboards going really was cool to think about.
You guys are really making me want to move to jax.

Yea, right? Even if you don't have a season ticket parking pass, which would cost a fraction of that, you can find $10 parking within walking distance pretty easily. Even comes with a free hot dog.
Then, spending 150 for food in the stadium split across 4 ways is still close to 40 bucks a pop. So I have to assume he is eating lunch and dinner at the stadium for some reason. Someone should tell him you can bring your own food into the stadium.

Yea, most parking just outside the stadium is 20-25. When we go down we've stopped driving and take the buses now from the Prime Osborne. I really like that.
Heck, if I take the motorcycle to games, I can usually park for free right across the street from the stadium. When I do pay to park, it's usually $5-10. Otherwise, I take the shuttle in from the Prime. Much easier.
The most I have ever paid to park was 30. That was at the Fairgrounds, which is about a 2 minute walk from the stadium. Not sure where $50 parking would be.

My son and I parked at the fairgrounds for the first time this past Saturday for the soccer game. I must say, it is a pretty good spot to park at. Quick in and out. $20 for the soccer game.

That's exactly why I rarely eat or drink at games...lol. That is a lot of money.

I pay $25, and I'm in the parking lot next to the stadium. For $50, I better be able to pull up to the tunnel and walk to my seat.

maybe it was $40? I'm going back 7 years here, we used to park across from the stadium next to the white building it was short walk, my Dad has a bad back so we had to park pretty close. You'd come across that big pond and the radio station in front of the stadium it was really close.

lol not when I had season tickets you couldn't bring food in the stadium. 2002-2004
We came up from the Daytona Area so it was an all day thing, We'd grab breakfast on the way in, eat lunch at the stadium sometimes we'd tailgate and just grab a snack at the stadium but usually we'd eat lunch there, and grab fast food on the way home.
So if for 240 your getting luxury seating and unlimited food and drinks it's a real deal, you can load up in 4 hours pretty good is my main point.

No way I'd eat there now, but when you 19/20 money doesn't hold the same value at almost 30.

If this is the case, I think he is right. That lot is always pretty high, and I think may be the closest you can get without Jag parking.

if we still went I wouldn't park there anymore that's for sure, my Dad can't walk anymore so he wouldn't be going with us. eventually we will have the little ones old enough and park in the no man land for $10, we did that the last few times I went to a single game with my brother in law.
Have the food prices come down since they allow people to bring food in now?
