Quote:The yardstick for success is 16 inches.

Actually, a yardstick is three feet...or 36 inches.

Just sayin'...

If the offense can get 361 inches every time, that's success.
Win the division and play off berth is the same thing???  I am looking for some statement wins along with the division title!!!!!!

There is another way to gain a playoff berth besides winning the division.  So, no, they are not the same thing.
I'm not so quick to write off the Bengals as a loss. The red head isn't that great, and I don't see where they've really improved over the past couple seasons nor in this years draft.

I won't look at wins and losses because that could attributed to lack of experience of a first year coach and other factors.  The season, however, will be a success if Bortles has less than double digit INTs, no pick 6's, the defense has more than 25 turnovers and we have a rushing attack that keeps us in ballgames late into the 4th quarter.

Reasonable take.

RE: the turnovers  -- I'd be happy with a positive differential figure regardless of the actual number forced.  (More takeaway than giveaway)

Jags were minus 16 in 2016.

They can achieve all the things you asked for while going 0-16 and that is success? It is this kind of carebear losing attitude that has infected the fan base. Wins are the only thing that matter.

Hard to win ballgames when you're that far in the negative.

Only the Bears and Jets were worse (both with -20)
