Hello everyone, I was wanting to know y'all's stance on the jaguars appearing on HBO's Hardknocks. Personally I would love for us to be on their with our recent acquisition's, I think people would want to see us on TV, and I see this making a turn in a positive direction, what do yall think? Would yall like to our Jaguars on Hardknocks?
The Jaguars don't want or need the distraction.

anytime I can see the Jaguars on tv especially now that I'm out of the state is good for me.

Maybe it could help in the lesson that Gus preaches to filter out the noise, both positive and negative while also providing the team with much needed exposure. I'm pretty much indifferent to the idea although if it were to happen I bet HBO would see a huge spike in the Jax viewing area. I know I would subscribe to watch it....................................................Then promptly cancel after they were off.
I have fixed feelings about it. If they were on Hard Knocks, I'd definitely tune in and watch. But at the same time, they're probably better off without the cameras and distractions.

I doubt Gus would look to add noise to test that theory, especially with a young roster.  They've got more important things to focus on, and based on what they've indicated previously, they don't want that distraction during training camp.

As far as a viewership spike in the smallest market in the league, I'm thinking the league and HBO would look to get a bigger spike from a larger market.
Greetings everyone, with the recent acquisitions I am even more excited about the Jags potentially appearing on HBO's Hardknocks. I believe more people would be willing to watch as opposed to recent years, now some may see it as a distraction, but I believe this would only helps us, what are you alls thoughts about the Jags appearing on this years Hardknocks?

So how does it help the Team play better football?

HeadSlap

I've said it before. I'm a fan first, and Hardknocks is fun for the fans.

No thank you. I watched Hardknocks all last season from Everbank... HBO just wasn't there recording.

If I'm not mistaken, they declined the offer.

Its a distraction I would welcome
You already did this once. What gives?

I dont buy that it would effect a teams performance in the regular season. I would love to see them on it.

I would be all for it.

If Hardknocks is a "distraction" and negatively affects our team, then these guys aren't worth keeping around.

How come nobody ever makes the argument that it could positively effect our team?

Both probably have about an equal probability

Given that a lot of coaches don't want to do it...

Then it's probable that Hardknocks would negatively affect our team. This is something that Caldwell and Co. aren't willing to risk...

I may be one of the few where it just doesn't appeal to me much as a fan.  Not into seeing football dramatized that way.  Just too much information.

As per my opinion...

NO... Not Today, Not Tomorrow and Next Season will also be NO...

You as a GM, coach or player can't be yourself. Yu'll be picked apart, ridiculed for being you along w/being over cautious of your on field performance. Look at it this way. How do you perform w/o supervision vs. someone constantly looking over your shoulders?

A Distraction it Will Be...
