Who does he think he is? Eli Manning or John Elway? I guess he thinks he can just pick and choose where he wants to play. I have never seen a 1st/2nd fringe QB pick and chose where he wants to go. Eli and Eway did but those guys were consensus first round talents. I liked Teddy until I read this, I kind of have 2nd thoughts on him now.

Teddy B asked about Cleveland taking him on @dpshow. “I actually told my agent that’s not the place where I wanted to be.”

You never liked Teddy, who do you think you're kidding. You always had something negative to say about him whenever the Teddy posts would appear leading up to the draft.

Teddy didn't want to go anywhere that needed a QB apparently.

i like him as a person, just didnt want him in the first round. If we got him in the 3rd i would of been fine with it
Quote:Teddy didn't want to go anywhere that needed a QB apparently. His career in Cleveland, and in turn in the NFL, is going to be a short one. If he's admitting to that in an interview, I'm sure that's going to endear him to the fans up there.

he said he always was excited about minny. said zimmer and everyone there made it a really nice environment and that hes excited to be a viking. also said he plans on making teams pay for passing on him and he knows zimmer likes that kind of player too.

That should sit well with the Cleveland fans knowing they weren't a destination he'd prefer.

cleveland is an organization that has a lot of work to do. a lot of pathetic things happening in cleveland the past few years. manziel could help to change things. or if he busts, they could be in big trouble.
How many guys actually WANT to go to Cleveland ? Manziel didn't want to play here either, although his agent contested it, I'm sure there is at least some truth in it. I have no problem with him coming out and saying that isn't where he wanted to be.

I can certainly understand why he wouldn't want to go to Cleveland. The place is a Coach Carousel waiting to happen. Jimmy Haslam is Al Davis with a bit of Jerry Jones mixed in. The place lacks stability. Alex Mack probably wanted out of Cleveland too. Unfortunately they were able to retain him.

I'm sure all of Cleveland isnt bad. I bet property is wayyyy cheaper than anywhere else.

In listening to their owner, they're not making any progress. He's not going to help matters. This is the same fan base that has shown pure class. The bottle tossing incident alone is a good indication of the kind of fans they have there. If he ticks them off in Cleveland, he should consider wearing his helmet any time he's within throwing distance of the fans.
Makes me wonder of Manziel would have even gone to Cleveland had Bridgewater not told his agent that.

What difference does it make if we take him in the 1st/3rd, aslong as he was a good qb?

? I see you dont understand value. You dont take a high risk, 1st/2nd round average QB in the 1st round. 31 other teams agreed. There is a big difference!
Where did carly's response to FBT's initial post in the thread go??

Thats weak.

The evidence was destroyed!!...., FBT own up you got caught with your foot in mouth. You erroneously stated that Bridgewaters stay in Cleveland would be a short one. You clearly forgot that Minnesota drafted him and not the Browns....

Carly caught you there and you shredded the evidence....smh, c'mon man....own up. Do the right thing!!!!
Despite the problematic ownership with the Browns, Teddy Bridgewater made a mistake by publicly stating he didn't want to play for Cleveland. Bridgewater is fortunate that Minnesota traded up for him, from the standpoint that he ended up in Round 1. What is the purpose for Bridgewater to rip the Cleveland Browns? Why burn a potential future bridge!

I can't say I blame him, but it doesn't seem like a smart move for a potential franchise QB to throw out smack talk before he's thrown a pass.

Can't blame him. I'd probably say the same thing.
Lol, I wouldn't want to go to Clevelad either. It's where promising careers go to die. Poor Josh Gordon had to self medicate to try to escape the horror and got suspended for it. Did you see Manziel's face when they drafted him? It looked for a second before he composed himself like this:

I remember hearing something of an insurance policy should TB not be taken in the first round? Was that true? Did Minnesota cost him some money by trading up?
