I believe he said it in the press conferences after making the selections. You can go back and watch for yourself.

Not shocked he was asked about his teamates at UCF which included Storm. Doubt anything was tipped about potentially drafting Storm though. They aren't going over their board with a fresh draft pick. And they're not going to risk Blake potentially texting his buddy ahead of time no matter how much they trust him.


Gus says in that video that he asked Blake in their meeting on Friday when he gets home to Orlando and watches the rest of the draft if he would be watching where certain guys go (not "Hey Blake, who do you want us to get for you?") and that Lee was mentioned as one of those guys. (for those not aware, they became friends on the ESPN show Draft Academy) Gus then goes on to say how ironic it was that Lee ended up a Jaguar. That's not consulting Blake and it's not even Caldwell discussing the matter with Blake as you asserted above, it's Gus in what appears to be small talk. Are you asserting that the pick was going to be someone else and Gus ran to Caldwell and said "Blake really wants Lee!"? And his words affected that pick? I hope not. Even if Caldwell was in the room when that exchange took place, if he moved his board as a result of it our future may not actually be as bright as it appears right now.


I know you weren't the one that put forth the idea about Blake helping determine who was drafted after him, but your comment following that up and supporting that idea was misleading to say the least and your interpretation of what was said appears to be more of what you wanted to hear than what was actually said with regards to Lee.
