I know people keep posting different names for Blake and all but i just cant put my finger on who he reminds me of. Just hope he becomes a star.

Dave said on jaguars today that they had a first round grade on Robinson. So in this draft we got 3 first round players. Pretty incredible. If just these 3 guys pan out it would be the best jaguars draft of all time.

Bortles is an Andrew Luck starter kit, to me.    He has the same physical skillset, pocket instincts, natural feel for accuracy and coolness in clutch situations.   The difference is that Luck's father is a former NFL QB, so he's had NFL caliber fundamentals drilled into his head since childhood and required very little learning curve upon arriving in the NFL as a rookie.   Luck had flawless NFL caliber fundamentals when he was a freshman in college.  Bortles didn't even play in a passing offense until he was in college.   Luck was a polished product as a rookie, and Bortles is still a wet lump of clay.    The Jaguars have the right mindset on this.   Let Henne play this year, let Bortles work solidifying his   fundamentals and you're getting a guy a year in advance who would have been the #1 pick in the 2015 draft.   The good news is that Khan, Caldwell and Bradley seem to have the long game in mind and are committed to rebuilding the right way and wont force Bortles out there.

I'm not mad that you do nothing but troll.

I am disappointed that you suck at it so bad.

This post could have been funny. C'mon troller dude! Just get better! I was really excited about this opportunity for you and you blew it! !
Quote:Seriously?

You already know the answer to this question.
Quote:It will be interesting to see how good Marshall is if he does become a third generation NFL quarterback. But for now I am not worried about him.

I did not know Calvin Johnson is a Jr. in the family and has a son. Are you making that up?

What in the world......
Quote:I hate the Ben R. comparison. The only reason it is brought up is because of the height/size comparison, which is the worst comparison you can make for quarterbacks IMO.

I do like Luck as a comparison as well, but Luck is so good in the pocket (like Brady, Rodgers, Bridgewater) that I didn't make that comparison. I think he's closer to a Culpepper or David Garrard, to be honest.
Bortles - Aikman, Storm - Smith, Robinson - Irvin     The tripplets.  Championship Dynasty in the making.

Bortles ability to extend plays while keeping his eyes downfield is reminiscent to Ben, both players have the ability to do that even though they're not the traditional scrambling quick twitch quarterback. Bortles pocket presence, toughness and poise are similar to Andrew Luck's, that's why I feel he'll fall in somewhere between those two quarterbacks.

When I think of Ben extending plays, it reminds me more of the styles of guys like Brunell, Young, and Favre. Those guys have a bit of a "playground" style when it comes to improvising. Its a style that is closer to Manziel's improvisation, IMO, than of Bortles.

That's not really Bortles.
No, Calvin Johnson Jr. doesn't have a son... yet!
