Yeah, him.
Quote:Todman had 76 this past season, so going off of that I would estimate about 45-50 for Storm.

I'd say that's a fairly reasonable guess.

I don't think that'll take the cake concerning the thread topic though. I think the team still sees Todman as the primary rotation back myself.
Linder ha maybe we won't take sixty sacks now

Telvin Smith.  I think he cracks the starting lineup and just flies all over the field.  I've watched him for years at FSU, he's legit.  Plus, Paul "I can't cover" Pozwhatever can finally just play some zone or rush the qb on 3rd down passing downs.

Brandon Linder, Jags 2014 offensive player of the year.  2 straight years he wins offensive player of the year award.

Brandon Linder

Will start from day one and be an All-Rookie teamer.

Quote:How many carries do you see Storm getting this year?

Possibly in the 80-110 range. I see him getting a lot of touches period. I couldn't help but notice everytime I watch Bortles film this guy jumps off the screen. He has big play ability.
I still think if Denard can hold onto the football

He's gonna get 80-100 touches. Even in the preset Caldwell said Robinson looks like a different back.
Linder is my pick.  I think he starts 16.

Robinson is a better compliment to Shorts than Lee.  Shorts will almost certainly start most of this year.  So I see Robinson getting a higher snap count, and making a bigger impact.  I think both will have good careers though.
Storm Johnson. 1300 rushing yards 10 TD

We rushed 378 times last year. Let's assume our offense is improved and we get an even 400 this year.

My guess would be:

Gerhart - 250

Todman - 75

Robinson - 50

S Johnson - 25

I just don't see enough carries for him unless they cut Todman I guess. The problem is Todman also plays special teams.

200 carries would be a good number for Gerhart

12 carries a game?
Quote:12 carries a game?

About that yeah, my guess is he probably misses a game or two plus I think we will see much fewer running plays and more of a RB platoon than in years past. This year will be much closer to what coach Fisch actually wants to run here long-term.

Yeah actually. If they do RB by group then i could see Gerhart getting 12  , Todman getting 8 and then Storm and Denard both getting 5 a piece for 30 rushing attempts a game. If we can get them to average 4 yards a carry thats 120 per game on the ground.

I agree with the latter points, but I'm not taking into account missed games even though chances are you are right. I actually think we will see more running plays though as hopefully we won't be down 20 points in each of the first 8 games.

Isn't it kinda tough to have 4 running backs active on game day? I'm just not seeing what you guys are seeing.
Stephen Morris

That's a fair point.

Not at all, a lot of teams run with 4 active backs.
