NFL.com had a round 2-3 grade in him. Really excited about this pick up. I think he could even possibly play some LEO.

I just said in another thread...that I think Jones was actually the better of the two LBs between him and Smith.

Jones, Smith, Watson at LB and of course all of our LEO's. Marks and hopefully Ziggy getting pressure up the middle. D should be vastly approved.

Jones at the senior bowl, found an article where he said he felt like he got better being coached by the Jags staff.

Hey, Vontaez Burfict was undrafted with some baggage and hes lighting it up in Cincy. This LB Corps is gonna beast this year.

Geno, if he still there im not sure, Watson, Smith and Jones are all athletic LBs that can fly around and make plays if the new free agents can make sure blockers dont get to 2nd level run defense should be better and most of these guys can stay on field in 3 receiver sets, It seems every pickup is someone who is versatile and shown they can produce. Im loving this

Bringing it back to "Welcome to Duval. Prepare to get hit".

@rocdee...great post...why do you think Smith is the better LB?

Not saying he's wrong, but he's the only person reporting this right now. I'll be in a holding pattern until some others confirm/deny it.

Quote:@rocdee...great post...why do you think Smith is the better LB?he's more rangy, he's faster, he can cover better, and he was the vocal leader of that FSU defense. nothing moved until Telvin said so. Just go back and watch the games.
the only thing Jones has on him is size

I knew it was too good to be true.
What does that mean "he flipped elsewhere"?
05-10-2014, 09:33 PM
When I think of the FSU D I always saw Jones as the big play guy...the guy laying the big hit to drop a guy early...the fumble recovery ect...I could be wrong...

Lamarcus Joyner was the big hit guy at a whopping 5"8 haha. Crazy but true everyone else on that D knew how to tackle solo which was amazing
