'MURRICA

I'm not terribly interested in a second QB at this point, especially with Mettenberger gone. Only one guy is on the field at a time, and with Henne and Bortles, we're pretty well set at the position. Plenty of holes on the rest of the team that could be filled this low.
I think 'MURRICA is our new Bouman.

In case of emergency, raise the American Flag, release the eagles.  Just in case Bortles isn't ready yet.

SHAW PLEASE
Dustin Vaughn, West Texas A & M

6' 4", 235, uber productive, prob played in weak schedule, and gimmicky offense, but for a very late pick or UDFA, could be worth gamble.

I would rather get a QB like that or Wenning than Connor Shaw.
I hope we get Boyd, would be a solid possible Garrard-esk Backup

Wenning just got drafted. Baltimore.

Small hands under 9" iirc. I was looking into him a few weeks ago he's got some talent but if we go for a guy this late I'd take Matthews from Cornell or Tajh Boyd
Jeff Mathews. He's the perfect developmental QB with prototypical QB size.

A guy that big has that small of hands? WHat is he, Leftwich?
How about Bryn Renner? UNC?

He's got good size.
What happened to the Renner fans on this board?

I remember earlier last season multiple posters were talking about wanting Renner on the team. Then poof, gone.

Mathews is nothing more than a sixth- or seventh-round option, but offers plenty of perceived "upside" thanks to a large frame a big arm. He regressed in 2013 behind a bad offensive line, but Mathews could be attributed with a number of sacks and poor decisions. He's a developmental pick. Mar 27 - 4:35 PM
