Interesting pick in the second round. The Patriots have an interesting QB situation on their hands.

I honestly think Garoppolo got into a great situation in NE. Brady will probably retire in two or three seasons. What are your thoughts on this?
Yep, perfect for them and perfect for him.

I really like the kid so I'm delighted he got into a situation where he can flourish.

But what about Mallett? That guy is the best
Its unlikely. Brady will play for another 3 years, by then they'll draft a first rounder to replace him.
Its a wasted pick. They have other needs and continue to draft the position they need the least EARLY.

How will he flourish? His job going to be making sure Brady gets enough water.

He should much rather play for a team that actually needs him. Now he is the next Mallet. He will sit on his butt and progress little the next four years.
Not to mention he has the smallest hands of all the QB prospect in this class. I was really surprised he went in the second round.
This pick and Mallett on the trade block is very telling of what the pats see in Mallet. Now I REALLY hope the Texans take him, was on the fence before. Cmon Texans, how bout a first rounder!?!
Patriots drafting has been suspect.  They seem to give the same value to all their picks in the first 4 rounds.
