Quote:Chances are you'll be wrong.. just going by Andre's track record here, the odds aren't in your favor.

So you're weighing his ability on getting 1,000 yards on "being injured" That's why I said if he remains healthy... and if he does remain healthy he's going to get 1,000 + yards. I'll take my chances on that.

I hope you are right, but no I'm not basing his ability on injury alone. I am basing it on everything I've already mentioned.
Quote:Andre's days of being a 1000 yard season are numbered. I'd be surprised if he amassed that amount this season.

It wouldn't surprise me either way, TBH, but I wouldn't bet against him doing that this year.

I still don't believe Houston is a true 2-14 team.

No way, no how.

I don't believe the Texans are a true 2-14 team either.

Had they taken Bridgewater I would have seen them as a playoff team in 2014....

Now, with Fitz/ Savage?.... 7, 8 wins?
people dont realize when players start getting up there in age it can happen all the sudden. i think andre johnson is actually one of the all time greats. if he had his whole career on the patriots he would be a shoe in hall of famer breaking all kinds of records. but once you start getting close to the mid 30's, injury risk increases quite a bit, you slow down, the wear and tear really starts catching up. im not bashing the guy at all, i just think you have an unproven guy in hopkins, you have an older AJ, and nothing else on offense.

you can argue it all you want but step back and diagnose the offense, it just really isnt good.

Quote:you name the stakes, trindon. As long as its reasonable, I'm down.

I don't know how quick I'd be to take that bet since he tends to disappear when the Texans aren't doing so good.
you know, you're right jagngeorgia. Trindon, do you frequent a Texans forum too? If I win you should have to use the avatar over there.

What are you talking about?

The Texans will be dangerous if they find a competant QB.

They are much more talented then their 2-14 record.

They could very easily be the most improved team in 2014.

Jagngeorgia doesn't know what the heck he's talking about.

I will be changing my name soon (as Trindon Holliday seems out dated and no longer fits) and I'll make sure to change it before this bet goes into effect, but the only reason why I had to change my name in the first place here was because I was targeted by a mod and then banned.. I was originally Carr Bombed and had zero problems making posts "when the Texans didn't win"  as they didn't win during the majority of the time that I spent posting here. I was posting on this board during the last time the Texans had the #1 ovrl pick. (Lots of losing there)

How about this..  You want to change the stakes of your bet..  Let's add on that whoever loses has to now carry a total different handle for a year (lets see who won't post then). If JagNgoergia wants to get in on that action.. well the more the merrier

Quote:What does A.J. opting out of a "voluntary" workouts have to do with anything?

We played the type of offense you just described throughout the entire Carr era and Andre still had 1,000 yards receiving.

The guy isn't going to go from 1,400+ yards to under 1,000 unless he has health issues.  If he lines up and is healthy, Andre is going to get his.
Seems my suspicions where warranted. He will continue to opt out of practices.

So fans were ecstatic that y'all went from playoffs to worst team in the league in one year? So that means ya'll were pissed during your playoff run right? I love the spin.

Oh, please. You talk a big game, and you make sure to hang around when its in your favor, but you disappear quick when things aren't adding up.
Quote:Was Mario Williams a bad fit for our 3-4?

Was DaMarcus Ware a bad fit for their 3-4?

Jadeveon Clowney isn't a bad fit.

And we didn't overplay our hand, the Falcons simply didn't offer up enough value over taking Clowney to move us out of that slot.  We had the #1 pick in the draft and had our choice to pick anybody.. we weren't forced to do anything.

It wasn't that the Falcons weren't offering enough, it's that you were asking too much.  Clowney will be good, but he's not a franchise qb.  He wasn't worth that value and Atlanta was smart not to bite.
Quote:your team was 31st overall in points scored. thats 31 out of 32...........

At least we weren't 32 out of 32. Whoever 32 is... now that's a team that sux. They're probably the worst team in the NFL, probably sell most of their tickets to blue tarps, then black out the games in the local market & can't understand why they can't build a strong fan following.

They probably drafted a "hometown" kid to spark excitement & get some butts in the seats... then announced he won't play for a year.

That's the kind of thing 32 out of 32 does.

you should really change your name to a player that should stick or was that irony? Carr and Holiday were both flops.. Maybe WattSwat or Clowney express would be good names... D: I digress and if healthy I'd bet AJ hits a 1,000 easy.

Because Houston has absolutely no experience whatsoever with being the absolute worst in the NFL.

No sparse crowds at the Astrohole and the Save Our Oilers rally, either, eh?

Naahhh.

Keep in mind that you're probably dealing with a fan who probably wasn't even born when the "Astrohole" was hosting home games.
