Just one scouts opinion, and Nothing many haven't already heard.. But if any of these sentiments were the same as ours, I think it's easy to see why Caldwell and Gus passed, especially given the emphasis on character. Pretty interesting read though, let's hope now that he is not a jag some of it,, as far as commitment to the game holds true.

It's a red herring unless we also see their scouting reports on the other quarterback prospects, including Bortles.
You want to know what an NFL GM does with a scouting report generated by another team?
You take the scouting report and ask if it's the only copy on property. If yes, without reading a single word of the suspect scouting report, you throw it in the garbage, and upbraid the junior scout warning him if he ever accepts what appears to be outside scouting paraphernalia again, he's fired.

Ok I'll remember that the next time I turn in one of these to Dave Caldwell lol..
I sure hope none of these things describe Bortles, I think it has been widely acknowledged that Bortles seemed to be pretty clear of character or work ethic red flags though. Still these scouts do a lot more research into the lives of these young men then many of us do, so it is interesting to see what they have discovered. Especially when it comes to hyped prospects like jfootball
