That's exactly what it is. I'm trying so hard to like the pick but when it's not your guy, especially at QB, you think about how bad the team will be if he falls short of expectations.
I mean, we sat through Gabbert for three years after it was obvious he wasn't the answer after his second year.
But I figure, if it
were my guy, and
he fell short of expectations, I'd be even more disappointed because I wouldn't have saw it coming. So there's no point in relentlessly bashing the pick.
Just call him Biff.
Everybody remembers 'A Death Of A Salesman' by Arthur Miller, right?
Quote:Lame. Sound too much like a copycat off of Jake the Snake (Plummer)
I don't know who that is.
Didn't expect it to catch on but it's what me and a few of my friends have been calling him. So I'm still using it.

Jake Plummer was a QB for AZ and Denver in the late 90's to the mid 2000's who had the nickname Jake "The Snake".
There was also a professional wrestler that went by that nickname before Plummer.
I think "The Snake" is pretty much worn out.

It is. We just called him that because rhyming is fun.
Quote:how about next year when he actually starts, we give him a nickname. It's pointless until then unless they are going to show it above him during cut scenes to the bench.
Please shut the [BLEEP] up

There's only one "Snake" in NFL history.
Hopefully, he does turn out to be Big Ben-esque.. If he ends up being more like Gabbart, we can call him "Big Baby Bottles"...
Wake and Blake
Blake Superior
For Goodness Blake
Not God Awful Henne
Bortles Kombat
Poppin Bortles
"Tank" Bortles because he's built like a Sherman tank and has that kind of firepower. Plus you can say, "Tank" plays in "The Bank" and that amuses me.
I can't stop thinking of Blake 'The Snake" Bortles as his nickname so I am going with that.
How about don't force a nickname
