Who knows

I doubt it, because Manziel has been linked to Cleveland since long before Farmer was hired as GM, and those rumors never stopped. That said, it's not unlike an NFL GM to trade down if his guy is gone.
I think Oakland or Minnesota would have been a more likely landing spot, or someone trading up to four.

Never know for sure but with Minn/Cleveland trading up/trying to trade up for a QB I think 1 of them would have grabbed him.

I don't think so.
IMO, they wanted either Bridge or Manziel, prob Manziel the whole way....just were smart enough to trade down and still get him.
Credit where credit is due. Thats the kind of draft day execution that starts to get a team on the winning track.

Only if it works. If Manziel doesn't pan out, then in two years from now I guess they'll be trading back to 22 to take a QB again.

Quote:Seeing how Cleveland picked manziel at #22, do you think they wanted Blake with their first pick? Are you kidding?
Bortles is a total joke outside of Jacksonville. Nobody ever wanted him.
The TU pumped Bortles up to bust Caldwell. Crazy how he ignored the gush when they began with Tebow as they asked their first questions when he was hired.
The mantra in the Gator-infested media circles of "even if he's released" should have been a warning signal. Caldwell made mortal enemies in the Gator-infested media circle of good old boys that day.
He might want to learn more about passive aggressive behavior.

Yes, lets assume you know exactly what the Browns planned to do and credit them for doing it like its a fact. That wont make you look stupid.

If you want to be number one troll on here, you really need to work on it. Here at the jungle, we have one of the best and he isn't going down without a fight.
Troll tips:
Less wordy. Waaaaaay to much mumbo jumbo. Remember, less is more and you need to stay on message. 'Caldwell sux, Bortles is a joke, they should have drafted 'xxxx'.' Then rinse and repeat over and over.
You have to be truly embedded before you can start with the crazy conspiracy stuff. You need to follow tip 1 for years, making just enough sense to get by before you go full nutball. You'll never get taken seriously as a top troll if you go FR off the bat.
The use of pictures and gifs could be a strength, but you have to make them have some relevance. What the hell is that? What am I the reader supposed to think about it? Needs work.

I see jungle cat as a sub par troll. With the proper coaching and surroundings I think he can develop into a starting troll for these boards.
