Quote:On the NFL Network right now they are interviewing Blake Bortles and sitting in the background is a Blake Bortles #5 Jersey.

maybe they told Scott he can give the number up or be cut

Stanzi or Scott knows they won't be on the team after camp

They might not have even called Scott about it. Wouldn't be the first time that a team yanked a low-profile player's number without their input to give it to a high draft pick or stud free agent.
Quote:Matt Scott will get cut.  He doesn't fit the measurables, 6'5", 230+ lbs.  It is always about the measureables and not whether this guy can play or not.  Manziel better football player on the field than Bortles.

It's not a 5. It's an S.

I wish someone would wear #8 again....so tired of 8, 28, 71 being taken out of service....its beyond overdue to have each of those in use again.

Guesses:

Bortles will get #5 some how.

Lee would look good in #87 or he might like 81 (#9 at USC, 8+1=9).

Robinson #88 (#8 at Penn St)

Linder #77 maybe

Storm #38

If Bortles had worn 8 in college, I suspect he'd be wearing 8 for the Jaguars. 28, 71 and 82 are, imo and as a hunch, "out of service" forever. Doubt we'll see a 63 this year either.

The damn Ring of honor is enough of an honor. Put the numbers back in circulation.
