This is because all those players feel like they have to be the savior for our franchise. We are trading up a ton in dependance on them, and they choke. (Besides Blackmon, he just can't his off field issues together). I hate trading up unless it's absolutely worth it. I never wanted any of those players besides Blackmon.
If we do not pick a QB at 3 we will most likely trade up ahead of Cleveland. Like San Diego 25th pick.
If not we will draft a QB in the middle rounds

We made some GOD AWFULL trade ups is the past that bring back a lot of pain and suffering. I really don't want the Jags to trade up this year. The over-valued / under-hyped of players done by the media will make this a win-win situation to stay put or trade down. With the extra 2 weeks added to the draft process, the media had a field day this year. Players will get picked to early that don't deserve to be. Some GM's will take the bait as usual. Any team that has 10plus picks & a good GM are going to have a field day. The 2nd & 3rd rounds will be filled with talent and DAY 1 starters. If we can pick up another 2nd & 3rd by trading back, Dave won't fail us with those picks. .

It's always a good move for the one who got traded up for, he usually ends up getting a bigger contract because of it. As far as for everybody else involved, that's not always the case as many of the ones who were traded up for end up being overrated and overpaid, just like in all the Jag's examples listed in this thread.
