Here's mine.

1. Texans - Jadeveon Clowney, DE South Carolina - Far and away the best player in the draft. There is an issue with scheme fit here, but whether they plug him in at OLB or opposite Watt, he'll be a stud. Sucks for us, but oh well.

2. Rams - Jake Matthews, OT Texas A&M - Most people have Robinson ahead of Matthews, but I think it's more dependent upon the specific team. The Rams have a left tackle, need a right, and want to know sooner rather than later whether Bradford is the guy. That being said, if I was their manager, I would take the guy with a higher ability to step in right away and pass protect on the right side. Won't be surprised at all if it's Robinson, however.

3. Jaguars - Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M - Maybe this is a personal preference pick, but it also makes a lot of sense. We need a QB, and Manziel is the best one. We have some kind of mad scientist offensive coordinator who can take advantage of his skill set. We have his freaking left tackle, for goodness' sake. We also are so young in our rebuild that IF (and I don't think it's a necessity) we need to "tailor our offense around him", we could do it without losing too much steam. I think Manziel will either be a star or a bust in the league, and I've learned not to bet against him.

4. Browns - Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson - The Browns pair Watkins up with Gordon and make a strength stronger on their surprisingly talented young roster.

5. Raiders - Khalil Mack, OLB, Buffalo - Similar to the Browns pick, here the Raiders decide to take a strong point on their roster and improve it. They'll pair up Mack with last year's stud, Sio Moore, and have a rangy and hard-hitting LB core. Good on them.

6. Falcons - Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn - I think if the Falcons had their way they'd want Matthews with this pick, but getting a guy with elite upside is certainly not a bad consolation prize. I think Matthews will be the better, more complete player the first year - but watch out for Robinson come year two.

7. Buccaneers - Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M - A lot of people have the Bucs going QB with this pick, but I don't see it. They brought over an established guy and have a nice reserve in Glennon. Maybe they'll take someone later on, but here top value matches need and they snag the receiver who I think has the highest upside in this draft.

8. Vikings - Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State - The Vikings lost a lot of close games at the end last year, chiefly due to poor play at cornerback outside of Rhodes. Here, they take a tall and rangy guy who could be a legitimate shutdown defender.

9. Bills - Eric Ebron, TE, UNC - This draft should be all about giving EJ Manuel a chance to succeed. The two routes for that are better protection and better weapons. In this mock, the tackle value doesn't line up, so Manuel gets the best pass-catching TE in the draft.

10. Lions - Odell Beckham Jr, WR, LSU - The Lions are kinda stuck if the draft falls out this way. The two top receivers are gone, the tackles as well, and even Ebron. I don't think the value for OBJ is quite this high, but I think the Lions are desperate enough for a threat opposite Megatron that they'll reach for one here.

11. Titans - Anthony Barr, OLB, UCLA - Not very original, I know. It just makes a ton of sense. They need pass-rushers and Barr has excellent potential. I hope that if he lands here he doesn't live up to it.

12. Giants - Zack Martin, OL, Notre Dame - Yep, Martin before Lewan. I don't think Coughlin will want to risk the character concerns that have plagued Lewan's stock. Martin also gives fantastic versatility to help Eli stay upright wherever he plays on the line.

13. Rams - Aaron Donald, DL, Pittsburgh - Crazy fall for this guy, I expect him gone earlier than this tonight, it's just hard to slot him. Here the Rams won't reach on a tier two WR due to the depth of the draft. I also feel like the safeties commonly mocked here are gonna fall a little farther than people expect. So Donald goes here, making the Rams' defensive line possibly the best in the league.

14. Bears - Louis Nix, DL, Notre Dame - I don't know if the Bears run a 34 or 43, but Nix will be solid in both. Solid double here for them.

15. Steelers - Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan - He finally comes off the board. I think his nastiness fits in perfectly with the Steelers and his talent does as well. Steal for them here if he can get his head on straight.

16. Cowboys - Calvin Pryor, FS, Louisville - First safety off the list halfway into the round, and it's not HaHa. He'll pair nicely with JJ from last year and help this defense try to be respectable again.

17. Ravens - CJ Moseley, MLB, Alabama - Boom. Ish just got real. I think CJ is a top ten talent in this draft but positional value throws him down a ways. The Ravens take him here and can shift Arthur Brown to OLB, either opposite Daryl Smith or as his replacement once he retires. I really like CJ's speed, and I think Baltimore will too.

18. Jets - Brandin Cooks, WR, Okahoma State - Get Geno some weapons. This guy has speed for days and will grow with his young quarterback to maybe put them in the playoffs.

19. Dolphins - Cyrus Koundijio, OT, Alabama - He's getting devalued, sure, but the Dolphins had a chance to pick a tackle with high upside last year and didn't. How did that work out?

20. Cardinals - Dee Ford, DE, Auburn - I really want to slot Derek Carr here, but I think that the Cards will want another pass rusher to push them over the hump in that crazy division.

21. Packers - HaHa Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama - They need help on the back end, and while I still think this is a little high for him, I think the Packers will get antsy. They need some better defenders if they're ever gonna get back to the big one.

22. Eagles - Ra'Shede Hageman, DT, Minnesota - TBH, I had no idea who to put here. I do know, however, that Hageman will be a stud if he has consistent effort. Good value for the Eagles if that happens.

23. Chiefs - Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech - Similar deal with the last pick. Don't know much about these guys aside from the fact that every team likes valuable players. The big man from Texas Tech certainly fits the bill here.

24. Bengals - Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State - The most physical corner in the draft goes to a team desperately needing one. They've had bad luck with this position in the first round recently, but maybe this will change that.

25. Chargers - Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State - Also a pick that's been pegged for a while. They need cornerbacks and Roby has some of the best developmental upside in the draft.

26. Browns - Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville - Recent rumors have the Browns "enamored" with Teddy. He has endured an Aaron Rodgers - like fall, which is interesting because I think their playstyles are very similar. He will have Gordon and Watkins on the outside , Joe Thomas and Alex Mack on the line, and a massive chip on his shoulder.

27. Saints - Demarcus Lawrence, OLB, Boise State - The Saints still need pass rushers after not getting any last year. With Lawrence as well as their recent defensive additions, though, they may take their defense back to the top.

28. Panthers - Marquise Lee, WR, USC - I feel like this pick is bound to happen. The Panthers NEED a receiver and Lee presents excellent value here. I also think he plays very similar to Steve Smith. A natural fit.

29. Patriots - Blake Bortles, QB, UCF - My big wildcard pick. Tom Brady can make any receiver talented, so I don't think that's a need. He can't do it forever, though. So the Pats take a guy who has speed and size that Brady doesn't, and sit him to learn behind a great one for a couple years.

30. 49ers - Dominique Easley, DL, Florida - SF continues its trend of taking injured stars. Easley would be duking it out with Donald for the first DL taken if not for injury concerns. Imagine in a few years, when both Tank Carradine and Easley are fully healthy... Scary.

31. Broncos - Xavier Sua'Filo, OG, UCLA - Take the best guard in the draft and plug him right where Zane Beadles used to be. Solid pick.

32. Seahawks - Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington - To close out the round, the Hawks decide to put another weapon in Wilson's hands, cause their defense sure as heck doesn't need any work.

Wow that was a lot of writing.

Your thoughts? Your mocks? Post them here.

Thought I'd leave this here. I'm really starting to lose faith in NFP.

NFP: Where Ryan Nassib was the number one prospect last year

I hope we dont take tebow part 2 at number 3.

He doesnt want to play here, he is full of himself saying teams will regret not taking him. Its about him and his supposed brand first.

Sorry I will pass on the first round for him. If he is there in the 2nd then fine but a waste of pick at 3. There are 4 blue chip players in the draft, Clowney, Mack, Robinson and Watkins we are at 3 so why not get one of those than reach for a the next tier and a player who isnt the unanimous best at his position like the others above.

Jedd fisch is a mad scientist?
Manziel stated he doesn't want to play in small market Jacksonville.

Quote:Manziel stated he doesn't want to play in small market Jacksonville.

No he didn't
Quote:No he didn't
He did, there is a article that just came out.
1. Blake Bortles QB UCF 6'5 232 - Deal with it.

2. Kyle Van Noy OLB BYU 6'3 243 - Van Noy IMO is a perfect fit for the scheme, he's a do it all LB that can even line up with his hand in the ground in some packages.

3 Weston Richburg C Colorado St. 6'3 298 - Get our starting center....unless Brewster is miraculously better at center than he is at guard.

4a Shaq Evans WR UCLA 6'1 214 - Can separate deep with his route running but short & intermediate routes moving the chains is what he excels at.

4b Dezmen Southward S Wisconsin 6' 211 - Still learning how to play football really, only played one year in HS before going to Wisconsin. Has the raw physical talent and pretty good instincts to be a really good safety.

5a.Logan Thomas TE VA Tech 6'6 248 - Still not buying Thomas as a NFL QB. 5th or later I'd try him as a TE convert though.

5b Dontae Johnson CB NC St. 6'2 200 - Obligatory tall CB for Gus.

5c Lorenzo Taliaferro RB Coastal Carolina 6' 229 - I think Taliaferro has starter potential in a ZBS.

6a Cody Hoffman WR BYU 6'4 223 - Had a down year in production, but still showed his ability to catch in traffic, run after the catch, adjust to errant passes, drag his feet on the sideline. Even returned kicks at BYU.

6b Ryan Groy OL Wisconsin 6'5 316 - Has experience playing all along the OL. Could provide solid depth at multiple positions.

7 Terrence Fede DE Marist 6'3 276 - Flyer on FCS pass rusher with the physical tools needed to play at the next level.

Which his agent refuted. That was a rumor anyway.
Quote:He did, there is a article that just came out.
Don't believe the rumors that Manziel doesn't want to come to Jacksonville, that were conveniently put out there just hours after it began to leak that Jaguars are in fact getting him at #3.

It's already been debunked by Manziel's own agent JagsFan.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...ksonville/

Anyways, the entire article reporting it was stupid. It said that MAnziel/his family didn't want to go to EITHER Houston or Jacksonville. The two most likely and best possible landing spots for him. Rolleyes

Looks like some team drafting later in the 1st round is paying reporters to put out false information.  Draft Manziel Jags.

I think we'll draft Mack at #3.

Hopefully we'll trade up to 20-25 for Bridgewater/Manziel if it doesnt cost us alot.

Those are the 2 main draft position priorities. Not sure of the centre class this year, but grab one and a receiver (as everyone is saying how deep the receiver position is) in rounds 3 or 4

For the record, I am terrible at mock drafts but...YOLO!

Whoops didn't see this when I started another thread.  Here is mine, with lots of trades.  Anything can happen at this point.

  1. HOU – DE J. Clowney (Texans pass on QB for best prospect in draft)

  2. STL – OT G. Robinson (Rams fill huge need with 2nd best draft prospect)

  3. TAM – WR S. Watkins (from JAC) (Tampa jumps Clev and Oakland for Watikins)

  4. CLE – QB B. Bortles (Cleveland takes QB they wanted all along, not Manziel)

  5. OAK – WR M. Evans (Raiders being the Raiders pass on Mack for big WR)

  6. ATL - OLB K. Mack (Falcons snatch up arguably best pass-rusher in draft)

  7. JAC – QB J. Manziel (from TAM) (well, well, well.... Jags finally have a star)

  8. MIN – QB D. Carr (Vikings don't want Bridgewater and know Carr will be gone in 2nd)

  9. BUF – OT J. Matthews (Bills get starting OT for next ten years)

  10. DET – OLB A. Barr (Lions take pass-rusher over CB)

  11. DAL – DT A. Donald (from TEN) (After Lions pass on Donald, Cowboys move up)

  12. NYG – TE E. Ebron (Eli needs a playmaker at TE to succeed)

  13. STL – OG Z. Martin (A mild surprise here, but O-line now very solid for years to come)

  14. CHI – FS H. Clinton – Dix (Bears pathetic at Safety position)

  15. PIT – OT T. Lewan (Huge value meets huge need here for Steelers)

  16. TEN – CB J. Gilbert (from DAL) (Titans knew they could still get starting CB here)

  17. BAL – FS C. Pryor (Ravens pair hard-hitting Safety with Elam for great tandem)

  18. NYJ – CB D. Dennard (Ryan finally gets the stud CB he coveted all off-season)

  19. S.F. – WR O. Beckham (from MIA) (Niners use extra picks to secure dynamic WR/Returner)

  20. HOU – QB T. Bridgewater (from ARI) (Houston makes a bold move, trading back into 1st)

  21. DEN – LB C. J. Mosely (from GB) (Broncos don't wait to see if talented LB falls to them later)

  22. PHI – WR B. Cooks (Quick WR immediately fills role left void by DeSean Jackson's release)

  23. K.C. – WR M. Lee (Chiefs take last round 1 WR to bolster weak spot of offense)

  24. CIN – OLB R. Shazier (Bengals choose talented home-state LB over a CB)

  25. S.D. – CB K. Fuller (Chargers take advantage of Bengals' decision to pass on Fuller)

  26. CLE – CB B. Roby (Browns snatch up talented Roby to pair with Haden on other side)

  27. N.O. – DE/OLB D. Lawrence (This pick could be Dee Ford, but Lawrence rising)

  28. CAR – OT C. Kouandjio (After WR's all gone, Panthers take another must-have position)

  29. N.E. – DT L. Nix (Belechik sees Nix filling the NT role perfectly)

  30. MIA – OT/G J. Bitonio (from S.F.) (Miami takes versatile lineman who flew up draft boards)

  31. G.B. – S J. Ward (from DEN) (Packers get another riser in talented Safety Ward)

  32. SEA – OG X. Su’a-Filo (The rich get richer as Seattle improves O-line)

  33. ARI – DE/OLB D. Ford (Arizona lucks out and has choice of Ealy or Ford here)

  34. WAS – CB J. Verrett (Washington takes talented but short CB for aging secondary)

  35. CLE – WR K. Benjamin (Browns get huge Benjamin to pair with Gordon and Cameron, wow)

  36. OAK - DT T. Jernigan (Jernigan takes a tumbler, and Raiders happily grab him to improve D-line)

  37. ATL – OT M. Moses (Falcons get protection for Ryan after taking pass-rusher in 1st)

  38. JAC – WR A. Robinson (A big, play-making target for Manziel/Henne is a must here)

  39. JAC – DE/LEO K. Ealy (Some how Ealy falls to Jags at #39, and Caldwell snags him up)

Notes: Tampa jumps up to #3 to take Watkins, not Manziel (They take QB McCarron or Savage in Round 3). After the first two picks of Clowney and Robinson, Caldwell knows that with a trade down to #7 he can still get Watkins, Mack, Evans, Bortles or Manziel and get an extra pick in round 2. Johnny Football is the player who falls to us, and the cheer is heard all the way to London. Might be a bust, but it will be fun for a while, and "move the needle."

Alternate Scenarios: Tampa does take Manziel at #3, and we get Bortles after Cleveland takes Watkins at #4. If Jags stay put, we take either Watkins or Mack, but then are left with Garoppolo in the 2nd
</sup>

/3rd
or McCarron, neither of which will be the QB or the charasmatic star that Manziel will be.

Rnd 1 - QB Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M (see above)

Rnd 2 - WR Allen Robinson, Penn St (A big, playmaking target for Manziel here is a must)

Rnd 2 - DE/LEO Kony Ealy, Missouri (some how fell to us in my mock)

Rnd 3 - LB Christian Jones, FSU (can play inside or out with Russell Allen retired)

Rnd 4 - TE Arthur Lynch, Georgia (Another target for Manziel and good blocker)

Rnd 4 - CB/S Antone Exum, Virginia Tech (can play both CB or FS, special teams ace)

Rnd 5 - OG Charles Leno, Boise St (Need depth/starters for interior line)

Rnd 5 - C Gabe Ikard, Oklahoma (Center could be addressed earlier if the fit is there)

Rnd 5 - RB Storm Johnson, UCF (We a real RB behind Gerhart and Todman)

Rnd 6 -WR Jeff Janis, Saginaw Valley St (More speed and size for Manziel to target)

Rnd 6 - ILB Avery Williamson, Kentucky (underrated tackling machine for more LB depth)

Rnd 7 - QB Brett Smith, Wyoming (might not take another QB if one taken in the 1st)

This would be awesome!
Two trades: Detroit comes up to get Watkins and gives us their 2nd and a 2015 3rd in exchange. Then we move up to #32 overall (Seattle) using our original 2nd and our first 4th. They lost a lot in free agency and could use the extra picks.

1a from Detroit) Anthony Barr, LEO UCLA

1b from Seattle) Teddy Bridgewater, QB Louisville

2 from Detroit) Jordan Matthews, WR Vanderbilt

3) Dakota Dozier, OG Furman

4 from Baltimore) Arthur Lynch, TE UGA

5a) Walt Aikens, CB Liberty

5b from Detroit) Storm Johnson, RB UCF

5c from Baltimore) Howard Jones, LB Shepherd

6a) Michael Campanaro, WR Wake Forest

6b from San Francisco) Zach Fulton, OG Tennessee

7) Blake Annen, TE Cincinnati (Mainly special teams ace)

UDFA targets: Connor Shaw QB, USC and Nick Addison, S Bethune Cookman and Luke Bowanko, C UVA

I know I don't have any centers or safeties, but those classes are thin and will likely be overdrafted. Come next year's draft those (and maybe RT) should be the last holes to be filled.

Apparently Houston is about to acquire Ryan Mallett ???

Quote:1. Blake Bortles QB UCF 6'5 232 - Deal with it.
