Tony or Fred for me
05-07-2014, 08:44 AM
Its obviously between Fred and Tony. Tony was the best LT in the league but injuries cut it short. I gotta go Fred but you really can't go wrong with either.
I do love the big boys in the middle though. Stroud and Henderson were brick walls... I loved them.

Nobody thought it was the right thing to do, but Tom Coughlin got his man-child USC OT Tony Boselli right away.
It didn't look like he was right until we ripped off Coach Chin's first draft pick, Leon Searcy, from the Stillers in '96.

Taylor never led the league in anything. The Jaguars saw significant and permanent shrinkage from 73,000 sellouts to black outs. Fragile Fred only made a Pro Bowl out of sympathy. He played out his career in a half-empty stadium, and the only thing that ignited him after Tom Coughlin was unjustly fired, was drafting Maurice Jones-Drew to replace him.
He liked hanging out with the dumpster-sniffing stray dogs on the SoBe side streets at four AM.
Special props to Henderson, Stroud, M. Lewis, and the Old 51 in teal. All four one tiny notch below baby beef.

Man just seeing some of these names has me thinking about the good ole days

Boselli is one of my favorites, but for sheer entertainment, Fred Taylor wins this battle.

No doubt

Fred Taylor I think.

Voted Boselli.
Taylor was great.
But Boselli (if not for the injuries) would have been a no doubt, first ballot Hall of Famer.

Taylor, easily. Boselli was great, but his short tenure gets him. Taylor racked up 10,000 yards rushing and played on some really crappy rosters. Plus, he was just so exciting to watch play.

I agree with this. I won't "easily" because of how dominant tony was but it's Fred for me.

Please, just go away.
I voted Taylor because, well, he was amazing to watch and a true star at his position. T-Bo's career was cut pretty short. It was a really tough pick, though.

Your impression of Fred confirms that you're still an idiot. Go cry about it to your mother you basement living squatter. Get a life!

We need someone like this on D again... or several like this.

I didn't vote for him as this is indeed a 2 horse race, but don't forget about his good years here and how good our D was during that time.

I spent 15 minutes reading the poll looking for the Reggie Williams option but it looks like they forgot to put it there.

Easy one for me.
My favorite Jags player ever. Fred Taylor.
A guy Jim Brown once tagged as "one of the best RB ever in the sport".

Yeah, whoever cast that vote has been pretty quiet about talking it up.

I voted for Freddy because he was my favorite player. However if you were to count everything they have done for the team on AND off the field, I think Boselli has been the more impactful draft choice. Having a guy like him love the team as much as he does and try to sell it to the fanbase as well as defend the organization nationally has been a huge benefit.
