Aight enough of the first round. We're either taking Sammy or Mack with dark horses being Teddy, Johnny, Matthews, or trade down.
Now who are we targetting in the 2nd? I've narrowed it down to Van Noy, Trent Murphy, Joel Bitonio, or Marcus Martin
I'd take Van Noy. He can play OLB and also move to LEO in some packages or just blitz from OLB
I could see any of the guys listed, in addition to Xavier S'ua-Filo, a QB, Jace Amaro, Marcus Martin, Stephen Tuitt, or any number of WRs.

I like Van Noy and Trent Murphy best from your list but obviously Qb and Wr are possibility If Jags don't draft 1 in round one. Offensive guard maybe also.
If Sammy at 3 then Lawrence or Attaochu.
If Mack at 3 then Latimer, Robinson, or Adams.
Martin or Richburg are fine too, as is Bitonio. Like all 3 of them very much.
No thanks to a non pass rusher (Van Noy) or just a very meh pass rusher (Trent Murphy)

Van Noy is a very, very good pass rusher. You don't have a season with 13 sacks and 22 TFL's as a linebacker who drops into coverage almost as much as he rushes and not be a good pass rusher.

You don't scout box scores sir. He isn't very good at getting to the QB. He's a fine all around player and 39 isn't a bad spot value wise for him...but there will be better impact for what we need available than him.
Well, I've watched every tape of Van Noy available probably 4 or 5 times over and have come to the complete opposite opinion of you.
I actually liked Van Noy better than Barr. He seems to at least have some power to go along with his speed.
Van Noy isnt a great pass rusher but he is good in mix blitz packages. Good enough for our OLB. As long as he is good in coverage and against the run is more important anyway
I'd be surprised if one of the first two picks wasn't spent on a QB. Bortles in round one is a sleeper. I just can't shake the feeling that the Jags don't care much for Manziel, and that's not just because I don't like the guy as a football player. Caldwell's comment about Manziel not changing his game from year one to year two and thus being ready to start now seemed more like a camouflaged insult than a genuine complement. It sounded like the type of thing that you'd have expected to hear about Andy Dalton.
That said, I really think it'll be Clowney, Mack or Watkins in one, with the second round pick being dedicated to whichever of the "big four" QBs falls out of round one. That is, of course, assuming the Jaguars don't drop back in round one to add picks for this year and/or next and take a QB there. In that case, I'd expect the team to do something else that I cannot even begin to predict in two. It seems like there are many more possibilities than usual, given the depth of this class at positions the Jaguars need help with, like receiver, end and linebacker.
If they take a QB in the first -- I think they'll go WR in the second because there will be several good ones sitting there and I think many will be gone by #105.
If they go pass rusher or WR in the first - I think they snag their favorite QB in the 2nd.
BTW - I think the trade down happens and most of our probable outcomes get re-arranged.

That's also what I expect them to do basically
