I had a diluted sample with a previous employer.  I was not drinking "20x" what I normally consume.  I drink a lot of water because it's healthy.  Could mean they're hiding something...or it might not.  I do tend to lean towards hiding something with the field they're in but not confirmed.  Counting a diluted sample as a fail is ridiculous.

I can see how Mett would be taking something to heal faster.

i.e. deer antler spray or some crap

I think the NFL counting it as a failed test is the right thing to do. There are rules and guidelines going in that they know, or should know (ar at the very least his agent and folks they trust know).

It's kind of like the NCAA. Some of the stuff on the banned list are sold at drug stores and health and wellness centers across the country. If something is on the list though, don't take it. Same goes for prescription medication. It can be taken, but if you don't disclose that info prior to taking it then you are doing it illegally. It's pretty simple.
Your kidneys make about 125 quarts of pee a day and then suck the water back up so you pee out 1-3.

It's entirely irrelevant to simply accuse a player of drug use without actually detecting one.

Yeah, it makes no sense to count it as a failed drug test if there wasn't a positive test.

At the very least, I would think the league would ask for a re-test.

As long as the FSU trio of players were negative for King Crab and Crawdads, this is essentially a non story.

More fog.

Clearly he has no chance at a successful pro career now.
