Take Jake. I really don't think you can drop back and still get him. Let the other guys accumulate second round picks. We have a decent enough second round pick and a third round pick.

The purpose of draft picks is not to generate more draft picks. The purpose of draft picks is to pick the best player you can possibly draft. When you trade back there's zero guarantee that a player you could have had will not be taken in the gap from where your were to where you drop back to. You end up with a much less talented player if you are unable to identify those players that slip through the cracks. If we draft best player available regardless of position we have no reservations about selecting a greater talent value than our actual pick.

If the other teams want our second, they will have to make it worth our while to fall back. Since we have two fourth rounders and three fifth rounders, we should keep them and look for more players that represent a better value for the pick we hold.

I can't vote without knowing the trade offer. So I didn't vote.

But in this circumstance I would drop from 3rd to 6th for Atlanta's 2nd round pick.
Quote:If Clowney and Mack are gone, then we're likely to go Watkins, Robinson or Matthews if there's no trade out.

I think that is a reasonable position, including the two OTs.
