Quote:I'd do the trade down with ATL; wouldn't do the SF one.

1st (ATL) - Mike Evans

2nd (ATL) - Dee Ford

2nd - Richburg or Marcus Martin

3rd - McCarron

4th - Jaylen Watkins

4th - Pierre Desir

5th - Aaron Murray

5th - Storm Johnson

5th - Crockett Gillmore

6th - Halapio or Steen

6th - Beau Allen

7th - Charles Sawyer
I'd be good with this draft, minus back to back CB's in the 4th.   You would probably have to spend one of those on Aaron Murray if you wanted him.

1st (ATL) - WR Mike Evans

2nd (ATL) - DE/OLB Dee Ford

2nd - C Richburg or Marcus Martin

3rd - QB McCarron

4th - QB Aaron Murray

4th - CB Pierre Desir

5th - ILB Avery Williamson, Kentucky

5th - RB Storm Johnson

5th - TE Crockett Gillmore

6th - OG Halapio or Steen

6th - WR Jeff Janis, Saginaw Valley St

7th - OG Brandon Thomas, Clemson (recently torn ACL)
Quote:Yeah, we're on the same page here.

I'm not opposed to making both trades in concept - I would just need a bit more compensation in draft choices with each to get it done. The Jags would be dropping pretty far, but with enough picks, they could make it worth their while, aspecially with some picks in future drafts, too.
Any other year, I would not have proposed such a trade.  But with a draft this deep, like I said, it might be worth moving down so far if we could get the players named in the original post.  In other years, some of those players might be 1st or early 2nd round picks.

I don't really want to trade down too far either, but if we could get those players I listed, I would do it.  There would be so much more talent (going into their 2nd season) for a rookie franchise QB next year (Winston, Mariota) in the 1st round.

Caldwell seems to. I can't remember a single smoke screen from Caldwell. He has a rep for transparency.

I sure hope we're not in a position to draft either of those guys next year. I'd hope we'd be picking in 10-20, because if we're in the top 5 again next year, I think a lot of hope in the FO would be lost. That being said, your trade scenario should include first and second rounders from next years draft, so Jax would definitely have ammunition for a trade up if they really believe one of those two are worth it. (I prefer Mariota)
No need to do mocks anymore. It will be Mack, Clowney or Watkins. No doubt about it.

No thanks to moving down to 30

I'd love this mock as well. I heard Gus really liked Watkins and I could see him as either a Nickel or FS in this defense.

You could easily subsitute Watkins for Desir there.  Watkins might be gaining some steam and be gone in the 3rd though.

I agree with the players you have here....IF we don't trade down from #3.

But can we still mock rounds 2-7.....and the other teams' picks?  Is that okay?

That is actually what I was thinking, but forgot to mention it.  If San Fran threw in a 1st round pick next year, we would probably have enough ammo to put together a package deal and move up into the top 5 for a QB.  Plus, we would have much fewer needs, and a much stronger roster.

I don't know if it's ok man. We might have to e-mail Kiper and McShay lol
Trading down to 30 kind of scares me for some reason, But if he do stock pile picks and that also includes stuff for next years draft that would let us move up maybe to draft a stand out QB(if by this time next year some one is worth it) than id be more happy.

We could stand pat and draft Jameis Winston in the second.
